Saraswati Avahan Puja

If we are unable to perform Kalasha Pooja and Pattada bombe Pooja on Padyami of Navaratri, this is another opportunity to perform these Pujas. Hence, the day of Moola Nakshtra and Saraswati Puja has gained importance.

Durgashtami in Sharannavaratri

While the Ayudha Puja got the significance, when Prince Arjun offered the Pujas to the weapons they had hidden in the Shimshupa tree, before taking on Kaurava princes who waged a campaign during Pandava Ajjnatavaas.

Vijaya Dashami

Navaratri Celebrations culminate on the day of Vijaya Dashami. After the victory against the demons, all the Gods and Goddesses celebrated on Vijaya Dashami. Lord Sriram succeeded in overcoming the demon Ravan on this day. Ramalila is a major celebration in the northern parts of India.

Dasara Dolls

Also the celebration of Sharadiya Navaratri or Dasara can be inseparable from the arrangement of dolls. The arrangement of Dasara dolls has many regional names. Gombe Habba in the old Mysuru region, Golu/Bommai Kolu festival in the Tamil Nadu, Bommala Koluvu in the Telugu speaking region of Andhra-Telangana are some of these.

The city of palaces Mysuru is decked up for Sharannavaratri Celebrations 2022 showpiece event. In Mysuru, Dasara marks the slaying of demon Mahishasura by Goddess Chamundeshwari and symbolises the triumph of good over evil.
