Sri Durga Namaskar Puja or worship has been an age old practice prescribed in Shakteya Principle. This is also called Bhagavati Seva in Southern India.

Goddess Durga symbolizes the divine forces (positive energy) known as divine shakti that is used against the negative forces of evil and wickedness. General Procedure of Durga Deep Namaskar

As the name indicates, the general practice is to light a lamp with five wicks and place it in the centre of a large Rangavalli (Rangoli) drawn in a clean and hygienic courtyard. Devi Yantra is also placed by some practitioners. Flowers are used for decorating Deepam (Lamp). Devi Stotrams like Durga Saptashati Parayan, Lalita Sahasranamam, Lalita Trishati and many others are chanted. Namaskarams are performed as per Sankalpam. Some even perform Japam.
