ಶ್ರವಣಬೆಳಗೊಳದಲ್ಲಿ 88ನೇ ಮಹಾಮಸ್ತಕಾಭಿಷೇಕ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಾವುಂಡರಾಯ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಂಧ್ಯಗಿರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿತ ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲುಗಳು, ಬಾಹುಬಲಿ ಜನರಲ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಲೋಕಾರ್ಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಮೋದಿರವರು ರಿಮೋಟ್ ಒತ್ತುವ ಮೂಲಕ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು.

12 ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೊಮ್ಮೆ ಬರುವ ಮಹಾಮಸ್ತಕಾಭಿಷೇಕ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಈ ಅವಕಾಶ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾತಾಜಿ, ಮುನಿಗಳ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದು ನನ್ನ ಸೌಭಾಗ್ಯ. ಮಸ್ತಕಾಭಿಷೇಕದ ಸಂದರ್ಭಕ್ಕೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಿಂದ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡಲು ಎಲ್ಲ ತೊಡಕುಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಸಂತರ ದಾಸೋಹ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾದರಿ
ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಪ್ರವೃತ್ತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪ್ರವೃತ್ತಿ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಎಂಬ ತಪ್ಪು ಭಾವನೆ ಇದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂತರು ಸಮಾಜದ ಒಳಿತಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತ ಹಸಿದವರಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂತರು ದಾಸೋಹದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಗೊಮ್ಮಟೇಶ್ವರನನ್ನು ದರ್ಶಿಸಿದಾಗ ಈ ಸಂಗತಿ ಸ್ಫುರಿಸಿತು ಎಂದು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರು.

ಬಿಗಿ ಬಂದೋಬಸ್ತ್
ಚಾವುಂಡರಾಯ ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಸರ್ಪಗಾವಲು ಇತ್ತು. ಪಾಸ್ ಇದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಭದ್ರತೆಗಾಗಿ 4,500 ಪೊಲೀಸರ ನಿಯೋಜನೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the 88th edition of Mahamastakabhisheka in SHravanabelagola. During his visit, he also inaugurated the newly built steps to Vindhyagiri. He dedicated the Bahubali General Hospital to public.

While addressing the devotees, he stated that he has been blessed to be part of this edition of Mahamastakabhisheka. He also stated that, the Central Government has cooperated with its best ability to make provisions for this grand event.

Role of Saints in our society:
While addressing the public, he said that a general misunderstanding has crept into the minds of public that social awareness has taken a backseat. He claimed that this is not true and saints in our country have always worked towards the welfare of the needy. They always worked hard to feed the poorest of the poor. Our Saints and seers have always served society & made a positive difference.

This was the point that came to my mind when I saw Bhagavan Bahubali here, he said. Modi visit amid tight security:
Security arrangements were very stringent around the time of Prime Minister Modi’s visit. A huge contigent of about 4500 strong police force was manning the security. Only those possessing the pass were being allowed in the Chawundaraya Mantap.
