ಕ್ಷೀರಾನ್ನವನ್ನು ಪೊಂಗಲ್ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುವರು. ವರ್ಷದ ಮೊದಲ ಬೆಳೆಯನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿ, ಹಾಲನ್ನು ಉಕ್ಕಿಸಿ, ಅದೇ ಹಾಲಿನಿಂದ ಕ್ಷೀರಾನ್ನವನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕು.
