What is Vakree Shani?
Shani will enter MAKARA RASHI on 12th July, 2022 in retrograde mode (Vakra Ggati Sancharam) and revert to KUMBHA RASHI on 17th January, 2023. Shani will be residing in Makar Rashi for a long period of six months and five days (185).
Shani Tailabhishekam Puja will be performed to Vishwaroopa Saniswarar (Lord Shani) seeking the benevolence, grace and protection of Lord Shani during this retrograde movement.
Sade Sati is a relative position where Moon is placed in your birth chart (Moon-Sign or Rashi) and the current position of Saturn (Shani). The current planetary position is called Transit position or Gochar position. This is also known as Peyarchi.
Sade Sati is a transition phenomenon of Saturn (Shani). When Saturn or Shani transit through twelfth, first and second house from the natal moon of birth chart (Janma Rashi), the period is termed as Sade Sati.
Benefits of Vakree Shani Shanti Puja
- Protection of Lord Shani during Retrograde
- Reduces Impacts of Vakree Shani
- Prevents Financial Losses, Misunderstandings & Stresses
Importance of Sade Sati
Saturn takes two and half years to transit from one house to another house. This is hence is called Dhaai (Two & a Half) or Small Panoti. Therefore, the transit of Saturn or Shani through twelfth, first and second house which takes seven and half years is a literal meaning of the word Shani Sade Sati.
This is something that every person must undergo in his life more than once. Sadesati unleashes the full impact of Saturn on you as mentioned in the Indian Vedic Astrology.
For an easier understanding the Sadesaathi may be divided in to three Phases: Rising Phase; Peak Phase and Setting Phase. It generally indicates financial loss, problems by hidden enemies, aimless travel, disputes, and poverty. Saturn transiting over natal Moon indicates health problems, character assassination, problems in relationship, mental afflictions, and sorrows. Misunderstandings and financial stress can be seen during this period. Expenses may keep soaring high and you need to continue exercising control. Sudden financial losses and fear of theft is also a possibility.
As Shani Graha is staying for a brief period of Makara Rashi, unlike in Sade Sati of 2.5 years, this cannot be considered as a part of Sade Sati Saturn Movement. This is only a retrograde movement of Lord Shani impacting several Zodiac signs (Rashis).
Which Rashi What Effect?
During this Vakree Shani period, those born in Makara Rashi, will face effects of Janma Shani. Those born in Tulaa Rashi will face Ardhashtama Shani impacts. Those born in Kanya Rashi will face ill influences of Panchama Shani. Mithun Rashi born ones will be impacted with Ashtama Shani effects, which happens to be the most challenging and the most dreadful period.
H3 – Which of the Stars will be most affected due to Vakree Shani?
People born in Uttarashadha, Shravan, Dhanishtha (Janma Shani effects), Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Chitta (Chittirai) (Panchama Shani Effects), Chitta, Swati, Vishakha (Ardhashtama Shani Effects), Mrigashira, Ardra and Punarvasu (Ashtama Shani Effects) are the most affected among the 27 constellations.
These are advised to perform Parihara Pujas like Shani Tailabhishekam to ward of the malefic impacts of Vakree Shani Sanchara (Movement).
Shani Graha
Shani is one of the children of Surya (Lord Sun) and Chaya Devi. Shani Graham is an important planet among the Navagraha planets as per Indian Vedic Astrology. According to the Vedic Astrology, the movements by of Shani Graham in the horoscope (Birth-Chart) affects marriage, children, education, career, business and many more important aspects of life.
While, Saturn or Shani is the most significant and most feared planet of the Navagraha as per Hindu traditions, in-reality Saturn is the most benevolent planet because he removes the sins of our past births and therefore known as Karmakaraka (Influencer of the work life).
