Importance of Thai Pusam Nakshatram

The Hindu festival of Thai Pusam commemorates the day, when Goddess Parvathi gave her son Lord Subrahmanya, an invincible Velayudham (A lance, popular as Vel) with which he destroyed the evil Asuras or the demon forces who had occupied the Swargalok. Hence Lord Subramanya came to be called Devasenapathi.

What is Thai Pusam?

Thai Pusam (or Poosam) Nakshatram is the Pushya Nakshatram of the Hindu Panchangam. Pushya Nakshatram is coinciding with Poornima Day on 25^th January, 2024. This offering of the Vel to Lord Murugan is grandly celebrated on Thai Poosam day with carrying the Kaavadi and offering a pot of milk for Abhishekam.

Subramanya Abhishekam Puja

Subramanya Abhishekam is a very good Parihara Puja for delays in marriages. This can address the problems due to Kuja Dosham and can be a boon to all the Mangliks.
