The history of the temple is dated back to 300 Hundred Year’s. According to the sources from Sri Palimar Matha, Lord Subramanya is brought from Shaanthuru to Palimar Village. Hence, the localites of the village named the deity as “Baramadi Subramanya Swamy”. The two-feet tall idol is made out of Rudrakshi Stone can be found in the Sanctum-Sanctorum. The Outeryard of the Temple houses Navagraha temple. The temple was renovated for two times in the year 1990 and 2004 under the supervision of Sri Sri Vidyadheesha Tirtha, the present seer of Sri Palimar Matha. ಬರಮಾಡಿ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು ಸುಮಾರು 300 ವರ್ಷಗಳಷ್ಟು ಇತಿಹಾಸವುಳ್ಳದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಪಲಿಮಾರು ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ದಂತ ಕತೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಪಲಿಮಾರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಸಮೀಪದ ಊರಾದ ಶಾಂತೂರಿನಿಂದ ಈ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರೆಂಬ (ಕರೆತಂದರು) ಐತಿಹ್ಯವಿದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿ ಸುಬ್ರಮಣ್ಯನೆಂದೇ ಕರೆಯುವ ಪ್ರತೀತಿ ಇದೆ. ಗರ್ಭಗುಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರುದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೀ ಶಿಲೆಯ 2 ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರದ ಸುಂದರ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಾಣಬಹುದು. ಪ್ರಾಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ನವಗ್ರಹ ಮಂಟಪವಿದೆ. ಈ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಜೀರ್ಣೋದ್ಧಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯವು 1990 ಹಾಗು 2004 ಎರಡು ಬಾರಿ ಪಲಿಮಾರು ಮಠಾಧೀಶರಾದ ಪರಮ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿದ್ಯಾಧೀಶ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದಂಗಳವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು.

Baramadi Sri Subramanya Devaru is well-known as “Baramadi Devaru” and “Satsantanakaraka”. There are several instances citing that devotees, who sought the blessing of Lord Subrahmanya to resolve their hardships are fulfilled. It is believed that several skin related problems are cured by “Baramadi Sri Subramanya Devaru”. "ಸತ್ಸಂತಾನಕಾರಕ" ಎಂಬುವುದು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಇರುವ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಹೆಸರು. ಈ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಲವಾರು ಭಕ್ತರುಗಳು ಫಲವನ್ನು ಸವಿದ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ನಿದರ್ಶನಗಳಿದೆ. ಚರ್ಮ ರೋಗ ಪರಿಹರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಗಳಿವೆ. ವಿದ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದವರು ಪ್ರಜ್ಞಾವಂತರಾದ ಐತಿಹ್ಯಗಳಿವೆ. ಸಂತಾನ ರಹಿತರು ಸಂತಾನ ಪಡೆದ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಗಳಿವೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಪಂಚಾಮೃತ ಅಭಿಷೇಕ ಸೇವೆ ಹಾಗು ತೊಗರಿಬೇಳೆ ಪಾಯಸ ಸೇವೆ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಿಯವಾದದ್ದು ಎಂಬ ನಂಬಿಕೆ.
