Earlier to a period of some 1500 years this temple was enshrined by a divine sage, according to the astrological findings. On 2003 May 1st venerable Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Jayendra Saraswathi Swamikal was laying foundation stone for constructing the main building and showering his blessings. It took the temple to go up again in every sense. ഏകദേശം 1500 വർഷത്തിലേറെ വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മുമ്പ് ഒരു മഹർഷിവര്യനാൽ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കപ്പെട്ടതാണ് പഴയ ക്ഷേത്രവിഗ്രഹം എന്നാണ് ദൈവജ്ഞ മതം. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ നിത്യ പൂജാദികളും ആരാധനകളും ഇടക്കാലത്തു പല കാരണങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടും മുടങ്ങിപ്പോയപ്പോൾ നാട്ടിലാകെ ദുരിതപൂർണമായ അനുഭവങ്ങളും അനവധി ദുരന്തങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടാവുകയുണ്ടായി. അതിനെ തുടർന്ന്‍ ബ്രഹ്മശ്രീ. മണപ്പുഴ രാമൻ നമ്പൂതിരിപ്പാടെന്ന പ്രസിദ്ധനായ ജ്യോതിഷിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ഒരു അഷ്ടമംഗല്യ പ്രശ്‍നം വയ്ക്കുകയും ദേവീഹിതമനുസ്സരിച്ച് ക്ഷേത്രം തന്ത്രിയായി ശ്രീ. ചേന്നാസ് ദിനേശൻ നമ്പൂതിരിപ്പാടിനെ അവരോധിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ക്ഷേത്ര പുനരുദ്ധാരണ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് തുടക്കം കുറിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. 2003 മെയ് 1 ന് അഭിവന്ദ്യ ശ്രീ. കാഞ്ചി കാമകോടി ജയേന്ദ്ര സരസ്വതി സ്വാമികളാണ് പുനരുദ്ധാരണത്തിന് തറക്കല്ലിട്ട് നിര്‍മ്മാണ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചത്.
