ಶ್ರೀ ಗುರುರಾಯರ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಿಂದ ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿಗೊಂಡು ಈ ಬಡಾವಣೆಯ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಕ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಾದ ದಿವಂಗತ ಶ್ರೀ ಹೊಸಕೋಟೆ ರಂಗಣ್ಣನವರು ಮತ್ತು ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಗರೀಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ದ್ವಾರಕನಾಥ್ ರವರು 1974ರಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಠವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದರು. ಅಂದಿನ ಮೈಸೂರು ನಗರಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸನ್ಮಾನ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಬಿ.ಎನ್.ಕೆಂಗೇಗೌಡರು ಇವರ ಕೋರಿಕೆಗೆ ಸ್ಪಂಧಿಸಿ ಉದಾರ ಮನೋಭಾವದಿಂದ ಶ್ರೀಮಠ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರದಿಂದ ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಆಗ ಶ್ರೀಮಠದ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಟಿ.ಕೆ. ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ರವರು ಅತಿ ವಿನೂತನವಾದ ವೃಂದಾವನದ ಸನ್ನಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ತಕ್ಕ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು. In the year 1974, late Sri Hoskote Ranganna and late Sri Dwarakanath were inspired by Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy and decided to build a Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in their colony. They approached Sri B. N. Kengegowda, the then president of Mysore Urban Development Authority, who helped clear all the necessary formalities and generously granted a site for the establishment of the Sri Mutt. Sri T.K Nagaraj, a professional Engineer, outlined a beautiful plan and architecture to build the Mutt.

1975ನೇ ಇಸವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನವೆಂಬರ್ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ 23ನೇ ತಾರೀಖಿನಂದು ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಪೇಜಾವರ ಅಧೋಕ್ಷಜ ಮಠಾದೀಶರಾದ 1008 ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ ತೀರ್ಥ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದಂಗಳವರು ಶ್ರೀಮಠದ ಶಂಕುಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀ ಮಠದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ವಿವಿದ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಉದಾರ ದೇಣಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಹಂಪಿ ಅರಸ್ ರವರು, ನಾಡಿಗ್ ಕನಸ್ಟ್ರಕ್ಷನ್ ನ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಡಿಗ್ ಸತ್ಯನಾರಾಯಣರವರು, ಶ್ರೀ ಭೋಜಯ್ಯನವರು, ಆರ್ .ಗುರುರವರು, ಕಂಟ್ರಾಕ್ಟರ್ ಶ್ರೀಧರ್ ರವರು, ಶ್ರೀ ಬಿ.ಕೆ.ರಾಮಣ್ಣನವರು, ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಜಯಶಂಕರ್ ರವರು, ಶ್ರೀ ಬಸವರಾಜ್ ರವರು, ಶ್ರೀ ಎಂ.ಹೆಚ್.ಧನಂಜಯರವರ ಪುತ್ರ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಧನ್ವರವರು ಪ್ರಮುಖರು. Sri Vishvesha Tirtha Swamiji, the seer of Udupi Pejavara Adhokshaja Mutt, performed the foundation laying ceremony for the construction of the Mutt on November 23, 1975. Philanthropists like Sri Hampi Urs, Sri Nadig Satyanarayana of Nadig Constructions, Sri Bhojaiah, Sri R. Guru, Sri Sridhar, Sri B.K. Ramanna, Sri Vijayashankar, Sri Basavaraj and Sri Sudhanva, son of Sri M.H. Dhananjaya contributed generously for the construction and development of the Mutt at various stages.

1983 ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ ಎರಡನೇ ತಾರೀಖು ಶನಿವಾರ ಪ್ರಾತಃಕಾಲ ಶುಭ ವೃಷಭ ಲಗ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂತ್ರಾಲಯದ 1008 ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಜಯೀಂದ್ರ ತೀರ್ಥ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದಂಗಳವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಮೃತ ಹಸ್ತದಿಂದ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮ, ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ, ಸೀತೆ, ಪ್ರಾಣದೇವರು ಮತ್ತು ಗುರುರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮರ ಮೂಲಮೃತ್ತಿಕ ಬೃಂದಾವನಗಳ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪನೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು. On April 2, 1983, his Holiness 1008 Sri Sujayeendra Tirtha Swamy, the seer of Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt of Mantralayam, consecrated the idols of Sri Rama, Sri Lakshmana and Seetha Devi, Sri Prana Devaru, besides sanctifying the Brundavana of Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy with the Mula Mruttika, the holy soil brought from the original Brundavana at Mantralayam, here.

ಮಠದ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ ಅತಿ ವಿನೂತನವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಸುಮಾರು 150 ಅಡಿ ದೂರದಿಂದ ನೋಡಿದರೂ ಸಹ ಭವ್ಯವಾದ ದರ್ಶನವಾಗುವಂತೆ ವೃಂದಾವನದ ಸನ್ನಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಠದ ಸನ್ನಿಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪದೇವರುಗಳಾದ ಗಣೇಶ ಹಾಗೂ ನವಗ್ರಹ ಗುಡಿಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಳಿ ಮರದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ನಾಗರಕಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಭೋಜನ ಶಾಲೆ, ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಸಭಾಂಗಣ, ಆನಂದ ತೀರ್ಥ ಹಾಲ್, ಮುಖ್ಯಪ್ರಾಣ ಹಾಲ್, ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣಭಟ್ ಹಾಲ್, ಶ್ರೀ ಜಯರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಪೂಜಾ-ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಭಂಡಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಇನ್ನಿತರೆ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಠದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋಆಶ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಶ್ರೀಮಠವು ಈಗ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಅತಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿ ರೂಪುಗೊಂಡು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಅನೇಕ ವಿಶೇಷ ಪೂಜೆ, ಹವನ, ಹೋಮ, ಉಪನಯನ, ನಿಶ್ಚಿತಾರ್ಥ ಹಾಗೂ ನಾಮಕರಣ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತವೆ. The Mutt has a unique design as it provides a very clear view of the Holy Brundavana from about 150 ft. to the visiting devotees. Temples of Ganesha and Navagraha have been established on both sides of the Main Mutt. In addition to a dining hall, the Mutt management has established Sri Raghavendra auditorium, Ananda Tirtha Hall, Mukhyaprana Hall, Ramakrishna Bhat Hall to facilitate spiritual discourses and various other religious functions. There is a bookstall called Jayaraghavendra Book Shop, where spiritual and holy books are sold. Sri Mutt is also running a Gau shala (cow shelter). As Mysore has been a cultural and spiritual center for many years, the Mutt has emerged as another pilgrim center with facilities to perform rituals consistently. Several religious functions are arranged in the Mutt at regular intervals. Spiritual discourses, offering worship, performance of holy sacrifices and religious programs like engagement, thread and naming ceremonies are conducted in the Mutt from time to time, as desired by the devotees.
