Pajaka is a village in Udupi Taluk and district of Karnataka state. Pajaka is the place where Dvaita philosopher Sri Madhvacharya was born. The place is near Kunjarugiri Durga temple. ದ್ವೈತಮತ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪನಾಚಾರ್ಯರೆಂದೇ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಜನ್ಮಸ್ಥಳ ಪಾಜಕಾ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರ ಬಾಲ್ಯದ ಅನೇಕ ಐತಿಹ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಇಂದಿಗೂ ಕಾಣಬಹುದು. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ವಾದಿರಾಜ ಗುರುಗಳು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸಿದ ಮುದ್ದಾದ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಮಧ್ವರ ವಿಗ್ರಹವಿದೆ.

Udupi Sri Krishna Matha is a famous temple dedicated to god Krishna located in the city of Udupi. ದ್ವೈತಮತ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪನಾಚಾರ್ಯರೆಂದೇ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿತ ವಾದ, ರುಕ್ಮಿಣೀದೇವಿ ಕರಾರ್ಚಿತ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ವಿಗ್ರಹವಿರುವ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ. ಇದು ಪರಶುರಾಮ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವೆಂದೇ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ. ರಜತ ಪೀಠಪುರವೆಂದು ಕರೆಯುವರು. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಗೊಮ್ಮೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವ ಜಗತ್ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದವಾಗಿದೆ.

This temple is 17 Kms distant frompresent temple. Kadiyali Mahishamardini Temple of Udupi, South India, is one of the oldest temples in the district of South Kanara and has a history of more than 1200 years. She is best known for destroying the Buffalo demon Mahishasura. When Mahishasura drove the Gods out of their heaven, they appealed to Durga to help them, and each God gave her his weapon. Durga's slaying of Mahishasura, was why she is called the Mahishamardini, the slayer of Mahishasura. Shree Mahishamardini Temple is located in Kadiyali. It is located on state highway of Udupi- Karkala at a distance of about 1 km from Udupi Main Bus Stand. There is an very good facility of bus services and other means of transport to reach the temple. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದಿಂದ 17 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ಅಂತರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಕಡಿಯಾಳಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಹಿಷಮರ್ದಿನೀ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಉಡುಪಿ ಇದು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪುರಾತನ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸುಮಾರು 1300 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸವಿದೆ. ಮಹಿಷಾಸುರನು ದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ದೇವಲೋಕದಿದಂದ ಹೊರ ಹಾಕಿದಾಗ ಅವರು ದುರ್ಗಾ ಮಾತೆಯ ಮೊರೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹಾಗು ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೇವತೆಗಳು ಒಂದೊಂದು ಆಯುಧವನ್ನು ಈಕೆಗೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಮಹಿಷಾಸುರನನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಮಹಿಷಮರ್ದಿನೀ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಶ್ರೀ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವು ಉಡುಪಿ ನಗರದಿಂದ ಮಣಿಪಾಲ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವ ಆಗುಂಬೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 1 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವುದು. ಶ್ರೀ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವನ್ನು ತಲುಪಲು ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ರೀತಿಯ ಬಸ್ ಹಾಗು ಇತರ ಸಾರಿಗೆ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳಿರುವುದು.
