Bannerghatta national park also called Bannerghatta Biological Park is situated in Bangalore City. It was initiated in 1971 and in 1974 it was announced as a national park. The park is famous because of its various divisions like Zoo, Wildlife Safari, Butterfly Park, snake house, aquarium, and conservation or Rescue center.There are ancient temples in the park for worship and it is a destination for trekking and hiking. Cubbon Park is a landmark 'lung' area of the Bengaluru city, located within the heart of the city in the Central Administrative Area. It is accessible from M.G. Road, Hudson Circle, Kasturba Road and Ambedkar Veedhi. Spread over 300 acres of land, it is officially known as Sri Chamarajendra Park.The park houses and provides a green environment to the State Library, the Vidhana Soudha and the Attara Kacheri. The Ragigudda Sri Anjaneya temple is at about 3 km from Banashankari Temple. In the Ragigudda Sri Anjaneya temple, idols of Shivalinga, Rama, Sita, Lakshmana and Hanuman have been consecrated. There is a small temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Navagrahas and Rajarajeshwari at foothill. Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium is located at Sir. T. Chowdiah Road, opposite to the Indira Gandhi Musical Fountain Park. It is one of the five planetariums in India and was established in the year 1989 by the Bangalore City Corporation. The planetarium runs daily shows like Our Solar System, Dawn of the Space Age and Mars-The Red Planet in both languages, Kannada and English. Venkatappa Art Gallery exhibits almost 600 paintings for art lovers coming from all over the world. Divided into two halls, one hall of the art gallery is dedicated to the stone sculptures, belonging to the Mathura and Khajarao School of Art. The other hall displays pottery and clay articles that belong to the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation. The art gallery also displays 20th century landscape paintings and occasional contemporary art show. The paintings of the renowned artist K. Lalbagh or Lalbagh Botanical Garden(4.5 km) is located in Mavalli, Bengaluru. The garden was originally commissioned by Hyder Ali, the ruler of Mysore in 1760, and later finished by his son Tippu Sultan.Garden has a famous glass house which hosts two annual flower shows, 26 January and 15 August. Lalbagh is also home to a few species of birds.
