The magnificent banks of river Periyar has been a locale for many rare temples by years. Sri Dattanjaneya Temple in Ernakulam District near Aluva town is one amongst. The main deity, Lord Siddharaja Dattathreya, bearing Conch, Wheel, Damaru, Trident and Kamandalu was consecrated on March 18, 1991 by Sri Sri Sri Ganapathy Sachidananda Swamiji of the Avdhooda Datta Peetta. Sri Mahaganapathy was also enshrined as a sub deity together with. Lord Dattathreya endowed with 3 heads, 6 eyes and 6 hands out of one is showering blessing of Bhagawan all the time. Later on 13-12-1999, the temple was empowered by the unique enshrinement and presence of Lord Anjaneya Bhagawan. After this Anjaneya prathishta, the temple began to be well known as Dattanjaneya Temple. And, the other two prominent prathishtas are Nagadevathas and Navagrahas. For the material gains and the spiritual solaces thousands of devotees are flowing to visit the temple on these days. Situating at a distance of 18 KM from Ernakulam town and very near to Aluva-Ankamali highway at Desom Junction, it is easy to visit the temple by any mode of conveyance. The temple timings are 05.30 to 11.00 and 05.00 to 08.00 in the morning and evening respectively. Hanuman Jayanthi ( 31-3-2018) 9 days’ Navarathri festival (21-9-2017 to 29-9-2017), Deepavali (18-10-2017) Vinayaka Chathurthi (25-8-2017) Dattathreya Jayanathi (3-12-2017) etc are the main annual fests of the temple. ശ്രീ ദത്താഞ്ജനേയ ക്ഷേത്രം കേരളത്തിൽ എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയിലെ ആലുവ നഗരത്തിനോട് ചേർന്ന്‍ പെരിയാർ നദിയുടെ തീരപ്രദേശത്ത് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠയായ സിദ്ധരാജ ദത്താത്രേയ ഭഗവാൻ ശംഖ്-ചക്രം-ഡമരു-തൃശൂലം-കമണ്ഡലു-കാമധേനുക്കളാൽ അഭയഹസ്തവരദായകനായിരിക്കുന്ന, മൂന്ന്‍ ശിരസ്സുകളും ആറു നേത്രങ്ങളും ആറു കൈകളുമുള്ള സവിശേഷ ചൈതന്യധാരിയാണ്. 1991 മാർച്ചുമാസം 18ന് മൈസൂരിലെ അവധൂത ദത്താപീഠത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ആചാര്യനും തലവനുമായ ആദരണീയ ഗുരു ശ്രീ ഗണപതി സച്ചിദാനന്ദ സ്വാമിജിയാൽ ഭക്തർക്ക് സമർപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ട സിദ്ധരാജ ദത്താത്രേയ ക്ഷേത്രത്തില്‍, അതോടൊപ്പം തന്നെ ശ്രീ മഹാഗണപതിയുടെ വിഗ്രഹവും ഉപദേവതാ പ്രതിഷ്ടയായി സ്ഥാപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. ദത്താത്രേയ ഭഗവാന്റെ വൈവിധ്യവർദ്ധകമായ കാലാകാല സമർപ്പണങ്ങൾക്കൊപ്പം 13-12-1999 ല്‍ പ്രതിഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ട കാര്യസിദ്ധി ആഞ്ജനേയൻ, ആഞ്ജനേയ സ്വാമിയോടൊപ്പം ശ്രീകോവിലില്‍ പ്രതിഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുള്ള ശ്രീരാമചന്ദ്രഭഗവാൻ, സീതാദേവി, ലക്ഷ്മണന്‍, അതിനടുത്തായുള്ള നവഗ്രഹങ്ങള്‍, പുറത്തുള്ള നാഗദേവത തുടങ്ങിയ ദേവീദേവന്മാരുടെയും സാന്നിദ്ധ്യത്താൽ ശ്രേഷ്ഠമാണ് ക്ഷേത്രാങ്കണം. അഭീഷ്ടകാര്യ സാദ്ധ്യത്തിനും ആത്മശാന്തിക്കുമായി അനേകം ഭക്തജനങ്ങളാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലേക്ക് അനുദിനം ഒഴുകിയെത്തുന്നത്. എറണാകുളം പട്ടണത്തില്‍ നിന്നും ഏകദേശം 18 കിലോ മീറ്റര്‍ ദൂരത്തായി അങ്കമാലി-ആലുവ ഹൈവേയ്ക്ക് സമീപം ദേശം ജംഗ്ഷന് സമീപത്തായി സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ശ്രീ ദത്താഞ്ജനേയ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലേക്ക് വളരെ എളുപ്പത്തില്‍ എത്തിച്ചേരാവുന്നതാണ്. എല്ലാ ദിവസവും രാവിലെ 05:30 മുതല്‍ 11.00 വരെയും വൈകിട്ട 05:00 മുതല്‍ 08:00 വരെയുമാണ് ക്ഷേത്ര ദര്‍ശന സമയം. ഹനുമത് ജയന്തി (31-3-2018), നവരാത്രി ആഘോഷം (21-9-2019 മുതൽ 29-9-2017 വരെ), ദീപാവലി (18-10-2017), വിനായകചതുർഥി (25-8-2017), ദത്താത്രേയ ജയന്തി (3-12-2017) എന്നിവയാണ് ഇവിടുത്തെ പ്രധാന വാര്‍ഷികാഘോഷങ്ങള്‍.
