In this temple, Maha Shivaratri is celebrated for five days and there will be Shayanostava of Lord Shiva and Parvathi in the night. It is believed on these nights, after closing the doors of the temple, the bells start ringing by themselves. ಈ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾಶಿವರಾತ್ರಿಯನ್ನು ಐದು ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಬಹಳ ವಿಜೃಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ರಾತ್ರಿ ಶಿವ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾರ್ವತಿಯರ ಶಯನೋತ್ಸವ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಐದೂ ದಿನದ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಗರ್ಭಗುಡಿಯ ಬಾಗಿಲು ಮುಚ್ಚಿದ್ದರೂ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಘಂಟೆಗಳು ಅದದಾಗಿಯೇ ಬಾರಿಸುತ್ತವೆಯಂತೆ.
