Fodder for cows Under the flagship program to protect cows, Sri Raghaveshwara Bharati Swamiji of Sri Ramachandrapura Mutt has launched a revolutionary scheme called “Go Prana Bhiksha” for distributing fodder to cows at Madenur, a village in Tiptur taluk of Tumakuru district in Karnataka. Under this scheme “Prana Bhiksha for cows”, Sri Ramachandrapur Mutt has been distributing fodder to cows at Madenur for the last one week. Without rainfall, Madenur and surrounding places in Tiptur taluk have been tottering under drought and the cows struggling without fodder or water. Meanwhile, the supply of fodder supposed to have arrived from the Government of Karnataka has been stopped abruptly. This has put the farmers in a quandary. Taking stock of the grim situation, Sri Ramachandrapur Mutt has been providing fodder to over 430 cows at Madenur for free. The most popular local breed of cows called Amrutmahal and Hallikar, which are on the verge of extinction, are found in large number in and around Tiptur. Sri Raghaveshwara Bharati Swamiji of Sri Ramachandrapur Mutt has initiated steps to protect these rare breed of cows by launching a wonderful and most pragmatic program. ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರಪುರ ಮಠದ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಘವೇಶ್ವರ ಭಾರತೀ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಜೀಯವರು ಗೋ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ "ಗೋ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಭಿಕ್ಷಾ" ಆಂದೋಲನವನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಮಠವು ತಿಪಟೂರು ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮಡೆನೂರು ಎಂಬಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಮೇವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮಳೆ-ಬೆಳೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೇ ಮಡೆನೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಬರದಿಂದ ತತ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಗೋವುಗಳು ಮೇವಿಲ್ಲದೇ ಸೋರಗುತಿವೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಗೋವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬರಬೇಕಾದ ಮೇವು ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟದ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಬಂದೋದಗಿದೆ. ಗೋವುಗಳ ದುಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಮನಗಂಡ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರಪುರ ಮಠವು ಕಳೆದ ಒಂದು ವಾರದಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿನಿತ್ಯ ೪೩೦ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಗೋವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೇವು ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ತಿಪಟೂರ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲು ಅಳಿವಿನಂಚಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅಮೃತಮಹಲ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಹಳ್ಳಿಕಾರ್ ತಳಿಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಕಂಡುಬರುತ್ತವೆ. ಈ ತಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಘವೇಶ್ವರ ಭಾರತೀ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಜೀಯವರ ನೆತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೇವು ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
