According to Hindu calendar, Karthika masa is special for Lord Someshwara. Thousands of devotees visit the holy shrine to get the blessings of Lord on Karthika Somavara. Anna Abhisheka is offered to Sri Someshwara Swamy, on Ashwini nakshatra day of Tula masa. Thousands of devotees witness this special abhisheka. On this special day, Shiva Deepotsava is celebrated with glory. Rudra Darshana is a very special puja of the temple during Aridra Nakshatra day of Dhanur masa. Devotees will have a Special darshan of Lord Shiva,during sunrise in the Rajagopura. Brahmarathotsava is celebrated during Chaitra masa, starting from Shashti, for 15days. A Special Puja is offered to Sri Dakshina Murthy on every Thursday. ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ ಮಾಸವು ಶ್ರೀ ಸೋಮೇಶ್ವರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯ ವಿಶೇಷ ದಿನಗಳಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಮಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ 4 ಅಥವಾ 5 ಸೋಮವಾರಗಳಂದು ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಭಕ್ತಾಧಿಗಳು ಶ್ರೀ ಸೋಮೇಶ್ವರನ ದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬರುವುದು ಪ್ರತೀತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ತುಲಾಮಾಸ ಅಶ್ವಿನಿ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರದ ದಿನದಂದು ಶ್ರೀ ಸೋಮೇಶ್ವರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗೆ ಅನ್ನಾಭಿಷೇಕ ನೆರವೇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರ ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆಗಾಗಿ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಜನ ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳು ಆಗಮಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಶಿವದೀಪೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಆ ದಿನದಂದು ವಿಜೃಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಣೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಧರ್ನುಮಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಿದ್ರಾ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರದಂದು ರುದ್ರ ದರ್ಶನ - ವಿಶೇಷ ಪೂಜೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸೂರ್ಯೋದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳು ಶಿವನ ದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ರಾಜಗೋಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ ರಥೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಷಷ್ಠಿಯಿಂದ 15 ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪ್ರತಿ ಗುರುವಾರದಂದು ದಕ್ಷಿಣಾಮೂರ್ತಿಯ ವಿಶೇಷ ಪೂಜೆ.
