Kalamezhuthu is performed as part of the rituals to worship and propitiate goddess durga bhagavathy.Kalamezhuthu is a ritual art form of Kerala wherein the deity’s form is drawn on the floor using five types of coloured powders,to avoid untoward happenings. ഭഗവതിയുടെ പ്രീതിക്കും എല്ലാവിധ ബാധാദുരിതങ്ങൾ അകറ്റുവാനും സവിശേഷമായ വഴിപാടാണിത്. . കലാകാരന്മാർ അഞ്ചു വിവിധ നിറത്തിലുള്ള പൊടികൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ഭഗവതിയുടെ ചിത്രം ആലേഖനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
