About Temple

Sri Lakshmi Narayana temple is located amidst garden, in front of Amanikere of Vivekananda Nagar in Tumkur town. The temple belongs to the family of “Doonthi”, a famous family in Tumkur. A century old temple which houses Lord “Sri Lakshminarayana”, in the sanctum-sanctorum.

Adjacent to sanctum sanctorum there are temples for “Shivapanchayathana”, Goddess “Sri Kanikaparameshwari” and Navagraha are consecrated. Flower garden around the temple is an added attraction. Kalyanotsava and Rathotsava are the special occasions, celebrated at grand scale. Rathotsava is celebrated on third Saturday and Sunday of Maga Maasa.

ಶ್ರೀ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀನಾರಾಯಣ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು ತುಮಕೂರಿನ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದನಗರದ ಅಮಾನೀಕೆರೆ ಮುಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿನ ತೋಟದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಈ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು ತುಮಕೂರಿನ ಸುಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ದೋಂತಿ ಮನೆತನದವರಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದೆ. ಸುಮಾರು ಒಂದು ಶತಮಾನದಷ್ಟು ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ದೇಗುಲವಿದು. ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಗರ್ಭಗುಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀನಾರಾಯಣ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿಗ್ರಹವಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಶಿವಪಂಚಾಯತನ , ಶ್ರೀ ಕನ್ನಿಕಾಪರಮೇಶ್ವರಿ ವಿಗ್ರಹ ಹಾಗೂ ನವಗ್ರಹ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ವಿಶೇಷವೆಂದರೆ, ಹೂವಿನ ತೋಟದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ನಿತ್ಯ ಪೂಜೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿನಿತ್ಯ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಹತ್ತಾರು ಜನರು ದೇವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಹೂ ಬಿಡಿಸಿ ಅರ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಮೂರ್ತಿಗೆ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣೋತ್ಸವ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾಘ ಮಾಸದ ಮೂರನೇ ಶನಿವಾರ/ಭಾನುವಾರದಂದು ರಥೋತ್ಸವಗಳನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
