Padi Sri Subraya Sri Igguthappa temple is located at Kakkube, which is located at a distance of 40 km from Madikeri. Sri Igguthappa is the most revered family deity of the Kodavas. In this temple, Lord Igguthappa is in the form of a Linga. A serpent is seen on the Linga here. Kodavas call Sri Igguthappa as Sri Igguthappa Mahadeva, Sri Subrahmanya, Sri Subbaraya, Sri Ishwara Igguthappa and so on.
Padi Sri Subraya Sri Igguthappa temple is administered by Muzrai Department of Government of Karnataka.
ಮಡಿಕೇರಿಯಿಂದ 40 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕಕ್ಕಬೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಇಗ್ಗುತಪ್ಪ ದೇವಾಲಯವಿದೆ. ಶಿವಲಿಂಗರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ಇಗ್ಗುತಪ್ಪ ಕೊಡವರ ಆರಾಧ್ಯದೈವ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಲದೇವತೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಶಿವಲಿಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಪವು ಒಡಮೂಡಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಶ್ರೀ ಇಗ್ಗುತಪ್ಪನನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಇಗ್ಗುತಪ್ಪ ಮಹಾದೇವ, ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಬ್ರಮಣ್ಯ, ಸುಬ್ಬರಾಯ, ಈಶ್ವರ ಇಗ್ಗುತ್ತಪ್ಪ ಎಂದು ಮುಂತಾಗಿ ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಈ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಮುಜರಾಯಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಆಡಳಿತಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.
