Sri Nageshvara temple – Begur

Sri Nageshvara temple complex (also spelt Nagesvara and called Naganatheshvara locally) is near Hosur Road in Begur, a small town within the Bangalore urban district of Karnataka state, India. The temple is one of the oldest temples in Bengaluru with a history of over 1000 years. This ancient temple complex enshrines Panchalingas (Five Lingas) viz. Nagareswara, Kaleswara, Nagareswara, Karneswara and Choleswara.

ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಗೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣವು (ಸ್ಥಳೀಯವಾಗಿ ನಾಗನಾಥೇಶ್ವರ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ) ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಬೇಗೂರು ಎಂಬ ಸಣ್ಣ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಈ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ದೇವಾಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲೊಂದಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸಾವಿರ ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಈ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಗೇಶ್ವರ, ಕಾಳೇಶ್ವರ, ನಗರೇಶ್ವರ, ಕರ್ಣೇಶ್ವರ ಹಾಗು ಚೋಳೇಶ್ವರ ಎಂಬ ಪಂಚಲಿಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ.
