Kanchipuram with Tiruthani Darshan

Kanchipuram was the capital of Pallava regime and is well known for temples of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. Kamakshi Amman forms the central Amman shrine for all the Shiva temples. The temples are sheer beauty of art and architecture apart from their religious significance.

Tiruthani constitutes one of the six Padai Veedu (one of six abodes) shrines of Skanda (Lord Subrahmanya or Murugan), and it represents the site where the Lord Subrahmanya married Valli - one of his two consorts. The beautiful temple of Lord Murugan at Tiruthani crowns a single rock 700 feet above sea level. It is situated amidst a range of hills with a dramatic panoramic view.
