Amritsar is the topmost pilgrimage for the Sikhs. It houses the Golden Temple - an iconic Gurudwara with dome covered in gold, which every year is visited by Sikh as well as Hindu followers in huge numbers. The Durgiana Temple is located in the middle of the lake and its dedicated to goddess Durga. Dalhousie is still quite a quiet town and holds immense natural beauty where the thick woods are framed by magnificent snow-peaks.
