Sri Vijayakumar Gupthan comes from a family of experts of traditional astrology from Palakkad in Kerala. His clan has been giving astrological consultations for nearly four centuries. He represents the tenth generation of astrologers. Sri Gupthan has undergone the traditional study of Samskrit in Tarka (logic), Vyakarana (grammar) and Jyothish Shastra (astrology). His proficiency includes astrological practices like Jathakadesam, Horasasthram, Prashanamargam(Ashtamangalya prashna and Devaprashna), Ganithanirnayam for Panchanga Ganitham (Almanac). He has been publishing “Bharatha Panchangam”, “Kerala Panchangam” and “Kerala Jyothisha Parishath Panchangam” since 2012.
He has been collaborating with Sri Kanippayyur Krishnan Namboodiripad, a Vastu expert for combined consultations and visits all over India.
Sri Vijayakumar Gupthan has credit of accompanying Late Sri Krishnan Kutty Gupthan(his father) in the past on many consultations on Temple Ashtamangalya prashna and in Panchanga Ganitham in the past for about twenty years.
