Poykkattussery is a magnificent village, fortunate enough to enjoy the blessings of Mangampilli Thevarnada Lord Vishnu’s temple, by its position. This village is in Chengamanadu. The deity Lord Mahavishnu carrying Conch, Chakra, Mace and Lotus is mainly consecrated here. Besides Ganapathi, Goddess Bhuvaneshwari, Nagaraja, Brahmakashas together with Panchamahamurthy are the other installations. In the month of Vaishakha the Dasavatharam Chandanam Charthu (sandal offering) is a glorious occasion here. On Thiruvonam day every year, Mahannadanam and reading of Narayneeyam are special offerings. Mass worship is enjoyed by the whole participants visiting here.
മാങ്ങാമ്പിള്ളി തേവര്‍നട ശ്രീ മഹാവിഷ്ണു ക്ഷേത്രം ചെങ്ങമനാട്ടില്‍ പൊയ്ക്കാട്ടുശ്ശേരി എന്ന പ്രകൃതി രമണീയമായ ഗ്രാമത്തിന് സര്‍വവിധ ഐശ്വര്യവും നല്‍കി നില കൊള്ളുന്നു. ശംഖ്‌ ചക്ര ഗദാ പത്മ ധാരിയായ മഹാവിഷ്ണുവാണ് ഇവിടുത്തെ പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ.കൂടാതെ ഗണപതി,ഭുവനേശ്വരിദേവി,നാഗരാജാവ്,ബ്രഹ്മരക്ഷസ്സ് കൂടെ പഞ്ചമഹാമൂര്‍ത്തികള്‍ എന്നീ മൂര്‍ത്തികളും ഉപ ദേവതകളായി ഇവിടെ വിരാജിക്കുന്നു. വൈശാഖ മാസത്തിലുള്ള ദശാവതാര ചന്ദനം ചാര്‍ത്ത് ഇവിടുത്തെ ഒരു പ്രധാന വിശേഷമാണ്.എല്ലാ തിരുവോണനാളിലും അന്നദാനവും നാരായണീയ വായനയും വഴിപാടായി നടക്കാറുണ്ട്. കൂടാതെ ഇവിടെ സമൂഹാരാധനയും നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.
