Srinivasa Saligrama Devastanam

The Srinivas Saligrama Temple enshrines more than 5,000 sacred Saligrama stones, which are the conscious, living embodiment of Lord Maha Vishnu Himself. Her Holiness Amma Sri Karunamayi consecrated and inaugurated a rare and unique Saligrama Temple from February 12-16, 2017 with a very grand Maha Kumbabhishekam. These sacred stones are installed at the feet of a special idol of Lord Srinivas, the gracious, boon-giving form of Lord Maha Vishnu that is said to be here to bless devotees in the current age of Kali Yuga.

The darshan of one Saligrama blesses humanity with many benefits. What to say of the darshan of an entire Srinivasa Temple that houses over 5,000 Saligramas. The sheer existence of such a temple is an immeasurable virtue and an open doorway to moksha. The Saligramas are installed within the temple’s innermost sanctum sanctorum. Because of their placement, one cannot see the Saligramas but can feel their power and receive the holy teertham. Teertham is the sacred water in which Saligramas are kept or the water with which abhishekam to the Saligramas has been performed.

Tsunamis drastically affect the world around us, but the tsunamis that occur in human heart have the power to continuously eat away at human beings mentally, physically and emotionally. These inner tsunamis are the reason for all disturbances in life. To come out of these inner tsunamis, we can visit Saligrama Temples.
