Aadimurthappa of Donthi family had grown flower plants in their garden in the year 1893. After witnessing the colorful and fragrant blooms in the garden, which are more suitable to perform puja he made a decision to construct a temple in the garden. Over a period of time he built a Kalyani to facilitate puja activities. It is said that in the year 1917, his descendants built other temples in the premises and continued the tradition of their ancestors. There are separate sanctum sanctora for “Shivapanchayathana”, “Sri Kanikaparameshwari” and Navagrahas. ತುಮಕೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಅಮಾನೀಕೆರೆ ಮುಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಂತಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಆದಿಮೂರ್ತಪ್ಪನವರು 1893ರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂ ತೋಟವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು ದೇವರ ಪೂಜೆಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾದ ಹೂಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ತೋಟದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಶ್ರೀ ಲಕ್ಶ್ಮೀನಾರಾಯಣ ದೇಗುಲ ಕಟ್ಟುವ ಯೋಜನೆ ಹಾಕಿ, ದೇಗುಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂಜೆಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗೆಂದು ಒಂದು ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದರು. ಅನಂತರ 1917 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ದೊಂತಿ ಆದಿನಾರಾಯಣಪ್ಪನವರು ಶ್ರೀ ಲಕ್ಶ್ಮಿನಾರಾಯಣ ದೇವರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಕನ್ನಿಕಾಪರಮೇಶ್ವರಿ, ಶಿವಪಂಚಾಯತನ ಹಾಗೂ ನವಗ್ರಹ ಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಜರ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಇಂದಿಗೂ ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವರು.
