The Durgambika temple is said to be around 62 years old.The temple was consecrated by 'Palli' named person and he started worshiping Devi for sometime and as and when the agility of the Durgadevi started reflecting in the village,'Palli' was benevolent enough to hand over the temple to the natives.Later on, the temple was took over by Kerala Kshethra Samithi and in the year 2002,the re-installation was done in the presence of Brahmasri Azhakathu Sasthra Sharman Namboodirippad. ഏകദേശം 62 വര്‍ഷത്തോളം പഴക്കമുള്ള ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം പള്ളി എന്ന നാമദാരിയാല്‍ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കപ്പെട്ടതും അദ്ദേഹം തന്‍റെ ഉപാസനാമൂര്‍ത്തി യായി വെച്ചാരിധിച്ചതുമാണ്. പിന്നീട് ദേവ ചൈതന്യo നാട്ടില്‍ പ്രതിഫലിച്ചതിന്‍റെ ഫലമായി ക്ഷേത്രം നാട്ടുകാര്‍ക്ക് വിട്ടു നല്കു കയും ചെയ്തു. പിന്നീട് സമതി ഏറ്റെടുത്ത് നടത്തുകയും ഉണ്ടായി. 2002 ല്‍ ക്ഷേത്രം, തന്ത്രി ബ്രഹ്മശ്രീ അഴകത്ത് ശാസ്ത്രശര്‍മ്മന്‍ തന്ത്രിയുടെ കാര്‍മികത്വത്തില്‍ ഷOധാര പ്രതിഷ്ഠയോടുകൂടി ദുര്‍ഗ്ഗാദേവിയെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി.
