The present temple area was purchased from Hoysala Karnataka Sangha, Hassan in the year 2004. The temple renovation was initiated in the year 2006. First, the shrine for Lord Sri Ananda Ganapathi was built in the year 2006 and consecrated, later construction of Shrine for Lord Sri Shanaishwara with Gopura along with cluster of gods were also started in the year 2008. It is said that in the year 2011, the Kumbhabhishekha of the Temple and consecration of deities were performed by H H Sri.Sri. Swayamprakasha Sachidananda Saraswathi Mahaswamiji, current seer of Sri Hariharapura Mutt {Chikkamagalur}. Presently, the temple is administered and run by “Sri Shaneshwara Devalaya Trust”. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ನಿವೇಶನವು, ಹಾಸನ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಹೊಯ್ಸಳ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸಂಘ, ಹಾಸನ ಈ ಸಂಘಕ್ಕೆ 2004ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಸನ ನಗರ ಸಭಾವತಿಯಿಂದ ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿರುತ್ತದೆ. 2006ರಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿ ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಆನಂದ ಗಣಪತಿ ವಿಗ್ರಹ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸಿ 2008 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಶನೈಶ್ಚರ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ನೂತನ ಗೋಪುರ ,ನವಗ್ರಹ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳು ಹಾಗು ಪರಿವಾರ ದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ ಗರ್ಭಗುಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸಲು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು, ನಂತರ 2011ರಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಹರಿಹರಪುರದ ಶ್ರೀ ಆದಿ ಶಂಕರಾಚಾರ್ಯ ಶಾರದಾ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ನೃಸಿಂಹ ಪೀಠಾಧೀಶರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪರಮಪೂಜ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀಮದ್ ಜಗದ್ಗುರು ಶಂಕರಾಚಾರ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಶ್ರೀ ಸ್ವಯಂಪ್ರಕಾಶ ಸಚ್ಚಿದಾನಂದ ಸರಸ್ವತಿ ಮಹಾಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳ ದಿವ್ಯ ಅಮೃತ ಹಸ್ತದಿಂದ ವಿಗ್ರಹ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪನೆ, ಶಿಖರ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪನಾ ಹಾಗು ಕುಂಭಾಭಿಷೇಕ ಕೈಂಕರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಶನೈಶ್ವರ ದೇವಾಲಯ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆ.

The gateway is in the East direction and the other door is in the North direction. Each planet has separate sanctum sanctorum. The sanctuary of Lord Suryanarayana Swamy has 10 feet tower with idol measuring 3.75 feet on 1 foot seat whereas, sanctuaries of other 8 planets have 5 feet tower with idols measuring 3.5 feet on 1 foot seat. Respective planets in the holy place have been implemented with color palette and information about each planet has been entered on the rock panel. ಪೂರ್ವದಿಕ್ಕಿಗೆ ಮಹಾದ್ವಾರವಿದ್ದು, ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ದ್ವಾರವಿರುವುದು. ಪ್ರತಿ ಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ ಗರ್ಭಗುಡಿ ಇರುವುದು. ಸೂರ್ಯ ನಾರಾಯಣ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯ ಗರ್ಭ ಗುಡಿಗೆ 10 ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರದ ಗೋಪುರ, ವಿಗ್ರಹದ ಅಳತೆ 3 3/4 ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರವಿದ್ದು, 1 ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರದ ಪೀಠವಿದ್ದರೆ, ಉಳಿದ ಎಂಟು ಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಗರ್ಭ ಗುಡಿಗೆ 5 ಅಡಿ ಗೋಪುರವಿದ್ದು, ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳು 3 1/2 ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರವಿದ್ದು, 1 ಅಡಿಯ ಪೀಠವನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿ ಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಗೆ ಆಯಾ ಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ವರ್ಣಶಿಲೆಯನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿರುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಬಗೆಗಿನ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಶಿಲಾ ಫಲಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮೂದಿಸಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
