The historical evidences reveal that in the year 1979 the Tamil association had procured a site to build an office space in order to carry out association activities. During the construction of the building the Association discovered huge Abode of Snake (Havina Hutta). Witnessing the incident, the association members had decided to build the Sri Subramanya Swami temple instead of constructing the office building. However, the temple was established in the year 2000 by the temple trust, set up by the Tamil Association. ಹಾಸನದ ತಮಿಳು ಸಂಘವು ತನ್ನ ಸಂಘದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ಕಚೇರಿಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಲು ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿ, ಅಂತೆಯೇ 1979 ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿವೇಶನವನ್ನು ಖರೀದಿಸಿದರು. ಕಚೇರಿಯ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದಾಗ ನಿವೇಶನದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾದ ಹಾವಿನ ಹುತ್ತವೊಂದು ಗೋಚರಿಸಿತೆಂಬ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಇದೆ. ಆ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಸಂಘದ ಪ್ರಮುಖರು ಕಚೇರಿಯ ಬದಲಿಗೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿ, ತಮಿಳು ಸಂಘವು ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಸಮಿತಿ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ವೊಂದನ್ನು ನೋಂದಾಯಿಸಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುತ್ತ ಸುಮಾರು 2000 ಜೂನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸಿದರೆಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
