In and around Malayalam year 790, this temple is rebuilt and modified, the historic – stones enunciate. Formerly it was owned by Chottanikkara Pallippurath Mana. At a stage, the temple had some count downs, was coming up by the undertaking of Kshethra Samrakshana Samithi. കൊല്ലവര്‍ഷം 790 കാലഘട്ടത്തില്‍ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം പുനര്നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചതായിട്ടു ചില ശിലകളില്‍ കാണുന്നു. ചോറ്റാനിക്കര പള്ളിപ്പുറത്ത് മനയുടെ വകയായിരുന്നു ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം. കാലക്രമേണ തകര്‍ന്നു പോയ ക്ഷേത്രം, 1976കാലഘട്ടത്തില്‍ കേരള ക്ഷേത്രസംരക്ഷണ സമിതി ഏറ്റെടുത്തു.
