Pajaka is a tiny village located at about 12 km from Udupi. It is the native place of Sri Madhwacharya, the proponent founder of Tatva Vada (Dvaita) school of thought. Pajaka has the ancient house of Sri Madhwacharya and an idol of him, consecrated by Sri Vadiraja, can be found here. A dedicated temple of Sri Ananta, the family deity of Sri Madhwacharya, is also existing on the premises of the house. Various evidences of Sri Acharya’s childhood pastimes can be found in and around the house, even today. In addition, there is a Durga temple near Pajaka. The temple is at the top of a small hill called Vimana Giri. The Durga idol here is said to have been consecrated by Sri Parashurama. ಪಾಜಕವು, ಉಡುಪಿಯಿಂದ 12 ಕಿ ಮೀ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು, ತತ್ವ ವಾದ (ದ್ವೈತ) ಮತದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಜನ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಳವಾಗಿದೆ. ಪಾಜಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಮನೆಯಿದ್ದು, ಶ್ರೀ ವಾದಿರಾಜರು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಮನೆ ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅನಂತನಿಗೆ ಮೀಸಲಾಗಿರುವ ಒಂದು ದೇವಾಲಯವೂ ಇದೆ. ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಬಾಲ ಲೀಲೆಗಳ ಕುರುಹುಗಳನ್ನು ಈಗಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಇಲ್ಲೇ ಹತ್ತಿರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ, ವಿಮಾನ ಗಿರಿಯೆಂಬ ಸಣ್ಣ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಶ್ರೀ ಪರಶುರಾಮರಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಶ್ರೀ ದುರ್ಗಾ ದೇವಿಯ ಸನ್ನಿಧಾನವೂ ಇದೆ.

The headquarters of this Mutt is in Palimaru, a little village 35 km from the temple town of Udupi. It is just 10 km. off the NH 17 highway. It is one of the eight Mutts established by Sri Madhwacharya. The presiding deity of this Mutt is Sri Rama and the maiden pontiff was Sri Hrishikesha Tirtha. Being one of the eight Mutts established by Sri Madhwacharya, the presiding deity of this Mutt is Sri Chaturbhuja Kaliya Mardhana Krishna. Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt is situated in Car Street of Udupi. This Mutt is under the aegis of Nanjanagud Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mula maha Samsthanam. The consecration of the Brindavan here took place on the auspicious sixth day of Krishna Paksham, Pushya Masam of Krodhana nama Samvatsaram (January 5th of 1926). Consecration of the Brindavan was carried out by Sri Susheelendra Tirtha, in the presence of seers of Ashta Mutts. Paryaya Sri Pejavar Mutt is adjacent to the Adamar Mutt on the Car Street in Udupi. Sri Mutt is among the eight Mutts that proponent of Dwaita School of philosophy Jagadguru Sri Madhwacharya has established. The maiden seer of Paryaya Sri Pejavar Mutt was Sri Adhokshaja Tirtha, who was one of the disciples of Sri Madhwacharya. The headquarters of this Mutt is near Udupi, in a village called Pejavara.
