Jagadguru Sri Madhwacharya (1238-1317), the proponent of Tatwavada or Dwaita Siddhanta and the third incarnation of Lord Vayu, consecrated the idol of Kadagolu Krishna, which was created by Vishwakarma under the auspices of Lord Krishna during Dwapara Yuga, at Udupi, which is also called as Rajatapeethapura. The place where Sri Madhwacharya consecrated the idol of Lord Krishna is now a renowned pilgrim center called Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt. ವಾಯುದೇವರ ಮೂರನೇ ಅವತಾರರಾದ ಹಾಗೂ ತತ್ವ ವಾದ ಅಥವಾ ದ್ವೈತ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಟಾಪನಾಚಾರ್ಯರಾದ ಜಗದ್ಗುರು ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರು (1238-1317) ದ್ವಾಪರಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಆದೇಶದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ವಿಶ್ವಕರ್ಮನಿಂದ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಕಡಗೋಲು ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ರಜತಪೀಠಪುರಿಯೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವ ಉಡುಪಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಟಾಪಿಸಿದರು. ಇದೇ ಇಂದು ಲೋಕಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧವಾದ ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣ ಮಠವಾಗಿದೆ.

The headquarters of this Mutt is in Palimaru, a little village 35 km from the temple town of Udupi. It is just 10 km. off the NH 17 highway. It is one of the eight Mutts established by Sri Madhwacharya. The presiding deity of this Mutt is Sri Rama and the maiden pontiff was Sri Hrishikesha Tirtha. The Mutt has a branch in Car street, Udupi. ಈ ಮಠದ ಮೂಲ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನವು, ಉಡುಪಿಯಿಂದ 35 ಕಿ ಮೀ ದೂರವಿರುವ, ಪಲಿಮಾರು ಎಂಬ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯು, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ 17ರಿಂದ 10 ಕಿ ಮೀ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಅಷ್ಟ ಮಠಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಲಿಮಾರು ಮಠವೂ ಒಂದಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಮಠದ ಮೂಲ ಯತಿಗಳು ಶ್ರೀ ಹೃಷಿಕೇಶ ತೀರ್ಥರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಶ್ರೀ ಮಠದ ಪಟ್ಟದ ದೇವರು ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮ. ಉಡುಪಿಯ ರಥ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಮಠದ ಒಂದು ಶಾಖೆಯಿದೆ.

The Mutt has a branch in Car street, Udupi. ಪೇಜಾವರ ಮಠದ ಮೂಲ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನವು, ಉಡುಪಿಯಿಂದ 52 ಕಿ ಮೀ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪೇಜಾವರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಮಠದ ಮೂಲ ಯತಿಗಳು ಶ್ರೀ ಅಧೋಕ್ಷಜ ತೀರ್ಥರು. ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತವಾದ ಅಷ್ಟ ಮಠಗಳಲ್ಲೊಂದಾಗಿರುವ ಈ ಮಠದ ಪಟ್ಟದ ದೇವರು ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಠ್ಠಲ. ಉಡುಪಿಯ ರಥ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಮಠದ ಒಂದು ಶಾಖೆಯಿದೆ.

It is believed that Vasco da Gama had come to St. Mary's Islands during his global voyage and named one of the four islands as O Padrão de Santa Maria, in memory of Mother Mary. Malpe is at about 6 km from Udupi. These islands can be reached through boats. ಒಂದು ದಂತಕಥೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ವಾಸ್ಕೋ ಡಿ ಗಾಮಾ ಸಮುದ್ರಯಾನ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಮೇರಿ ದ್ವೀಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿದು, ಈ ದ್ವೀಪಸಮೂಹದ ಒಂದು ದ್ವೀಪಕ್ಕೆ ಓ ಪದ್ರಾವೋ ಡಿ ಸಂತ ಮರಿಯಾ, ಎಂದು ನಾಮವಿತ್ತನು. ಈ ದ್ವೀಪಸಮೂಹದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ನಡುಗಡ್ಡೆಗಳಿವೆ. ಮಲ್ಪೆಯ ಸಮುದ್ರ ತಡಿಯಿಂದ ಅರಬ್ಬೀ ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ವೀಪಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಗಿಹೋಗಲು ದೋಣಿಗಳ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಿದೆ. ಮಲ್ಪೆಯು ಉಡುಪಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 6 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.

Sri Chandramouleshwara temple is adjacent to Sri Anantheshwara temple. This ancient temple is dedicated to lord Shiva and is visited by every pontiff of the Ashta Mutts, before ascending the Paryaya Peetha. ಶ್ರೀ ಅನಂತೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲೇ ಶ್ರೀ ಚಂದ್ರಮೌಳೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವಿದೆ. ಈ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಶಿವ ದೇವಾಲಯವನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲ ಪರ್ಯಾಯವೇರುವ ಪೀಠಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳು, ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂದರ್ಶಿಸಿ, ದರ್ಶನ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
