Viroopakshi, is a village 2 kilometers away from the town towards south. There exists Viroopaksheswara Swamy temple, identical in architecture to that of Hampi temple. On Rathasaptami day only after sunrise, the rays of sun fall on the linga in the sanctum sanctorum.
ವಿರೂಪಾಕ್ಷೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು ರಚನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಂಪಿಯ ದೇವಾಲಯವನ್ನು ಹೋಲುವುದೆಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ಶ್ರೀ ಮಠದಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು ಎರಡು ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
Anjanadri Mountain / ಅಂಜನಾದ್ರಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟ
It is said that the Anjanadri Mountain is where Anjanadevi performed her penance to get a worthy child. It is also said that during Dwapara Yuga Sri Krishna installed the Hanumantha, who was present in the flag of the chariot of Arjuna, in this place. Offering of Kethaki flowers to lord Hanumantha here is very meritorious claims the Puranas.
ಅಂಜನಾದೇವಿಯು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸಂತಾನಾಪೇಕ್ಷೆಯಿಂದ ಈ ಅಂಜನಾದ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ತಪಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಿದಳೆಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ದ್ವಾಪರ ಯುಗದ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅರ್ಜುನನ ರಥದ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ ಧ್ವಜದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿದ್ದ ಹನುಮಂತನನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಪರಮಾತ್ಮನು ಈ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದನೆಂದು ನಂಬಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ, ಹನುಮಂತ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕೇತಕೀಪುಷ್ಪವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವುದು ಬಹಳ ಶ್ರೇಯಸ್ಕರವೆಂದು ಪುರಾಣಗಳು ಹೇಳುತ್ತವೆ.
Sri Agastheshwara Temple / ಶ್ರೀ ಅಗಸ್ತೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ
Sri Agastyeshwara is said to have been installed by Sage Agastya. The temple is located at the middle of the Mulabagal town and has been renovated recently with the help of enthusiastic devotees.
ಶ್ರೀ ಅಗಸ್ತೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಅಗಸ್ತ್ಯ ಮಹಾಮುನಿಗಳು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿರುವರೆಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ದೇವಾಲಯವು ಮುಳಬಾಗಿಲು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದು, ಇತ್ತೀಚಿಗಷ್ಟೇ ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳ ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜೀರ್ಣೋದ್ಧಾರಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.
