A group of dedicated followers of globally known Saint Sree Narayana Guru formed an association in Kaloor, Ernakulam, Kerala State named "Ananda Chandrodaya Sabha" in the year 1931. Initially they conducted their meetings and related activities in the members’ own house. Later, in the year 1939, they purchased a land of their own. In 1944, they constructed a Bhajana madam (prayer hall) there and photos of Lord Subrahmanian and Sree Narayana Guru were holistically displayed and started bhajans and prayers. And in 1963 an Idol of the main deity built in "Krishna Sila" was installed by Swami Agamananda, the first sishya of Sree Narayana Guru. Other sub Deity idols were also installed along with this and the people experienced the blessings of the Lord. Now thousands of devotees are coming to this temple for enjoying Lord’s presence and gifts. There are main three festivals celebrated in the temple i.e. Annual festival in the Makaram month of Uthrattathi star date (23-1-2018), Prathishta mahothsavam in the Medam month Uthram star (27-4-2018) and Skanda Shashti in Thulam, Shashti day which falls on the 13-11- 2017). As the temple is situated in the Ernakulam town itself it is very easy to visit the temple. The temple visiting time is from 5:00 to 10:00 in the morning and 5:00 to 8:00 in the evening. സംഘടിച്ചു ശക്തരാകുകയും വിദ്യകൊണ്ടു പ്രബുദ്ധരാകുകയും ചെയ്യുക എന്ന ശ്രീനാരായണ ഗുരുവചനത്തിൽ ആകൃഷ്ടരായ ഒരു പറ്റം ആളുകൾ ആ ആശയങ്ങളുടെ യഥാതഥ പ്രചാരണത്തിനായി 1931-ൽ തുടക്കം കുറിച്ച മഹാപ്രസ്ഥാനമാണ് എറണാകുളം കലൂരുള്ള ആനന്ദ ചന്ദ്രോദയം സഭ. പ്രവര്‍ത്തകരുടെ ഭാവനങ്ങളിലായിരുന്നു ആദ്യകാല ആലോചനായോഗങ്ങളും മറ്റും നടന്ന് വന്നിരുന്നത്. 1939 ആയപ്പോഴേക്കും സ്വന്തമായ ഭൂമി വാങ്ങിയ സഭ 1944 ൽ ഒരു ഭജനമഠം തുടങ്ങുകയും ടാറ്റാ കമ്പനിയുടെ ജനറൽ മാനേജർ ആയിരുന്ന ശ്രീ റാവുജി അവര്‍കളാല്‍ ശ്രീ നാരായണ ഗുരുദേവന്‍റെയും സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യ സ്വാമിയുടേയും ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ സ്ഥാപിക്കുകയും നിറഭക്തിയോട്‌ കൂടി ഭജനകളും വാര്‍ഷികാഘോഷങ്ങളും നടപ്പിലാക്കുകയുണ്ടായി. 1963-ൽ ആചാര്യമതമനുസരിച്ചും ജ്യോതിഷവിധിപ്രകാരവും ക്ഷേത്ര ശ്രീകോവിൽ നിർമ്മിക്കുകയും അവിടെ പ്രധാന ദേവനായി ശ്രീ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യ ദേവനേയും ക്ഷേത്രമതിൽക്കകത്തു മറ്റു ഉപദേവന്മാരേയും പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഇപ്പോള്‍ അനേകായിരം ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾ വർഷാവർഷം ദേവാനുഗ്രഹത്തിനായി ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തില്‍ ദര്‍ശനം നടത്തുന്നു. പ്രധാനമായും മൂന്ന്‍ വാര്ഷികോത്സവങ്ങളാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തില്‍ ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നത്. മകര മാസത്തിലെ ഉതൃട്ടാതിനാളിൽ ആഘോഷിക്കുന്ന തിരുവുത്സവം (അടുത്തവർഷത്തെ തിരുവുത്സവം മകരം 9, 2018 ന്), മേട മാസത്തിലെ ഉത്രം നാളിലെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠാമഹോത്സവം (അടുത്ത വർഷത്തെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠാമഹോത്സവം 27th April, 2018 ന്), തുലാം മാസത്തിലെ ഷഷ്ഠിനാളിൽ ആഘോഷിക്കുന്ന സ്കന്ദഷഷ്ഠി (അടുത്ത സ്കന്ദഷഷ്ഠി നവംബർ 13, 2017ന്) എന്നിവയാണവ. എറണാകുളം പട്ടണത്തിന് സമീപമുള്ള കലൂരില്‍ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ദര്‍ശന സമയം രാവിലെ 5.00 മണി മുതല്‍ 10 മണി വരെയും വൈകിട്ട് 5 മണി മുതല്‍ 8 വരെയുമാണ്.
