Sri Arkeshwara Swamy temple in the Guttalu Layout of Mandya City which is 40Kms from the cultural capital of Karnataka Mysuru. It is about 100Kms from the Capital city of Bengaluru.It was built before the 12th century in the time of Cholas.
ಶ್ರೀ ಅರ್ಕೇಶ್ವರಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ಮಂಡ್ಯ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಗುತ್ತಲು ಬಡಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ರಾಜಧಾನಿಯೆಂದೇ ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುವ ಮೈಸೂರಿನಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 40 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ರಾಜಧಾನಿಯಾದ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ 100 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಹನ್ನೆರಡನೆಯ ಶತಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಚೋಳರ ಕಾಲಾವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ನಿರ್ಮಿತವಾಗಿದೆ.
