Sri Cheluvanarayanaswamy Temple is located in Melukote, Mandya district, Karnataka. It is about 50 km from Mysuru and 150 km from Bengaluru. The presiding deity is Sri Cheluvanarayana, a manifestation of Vishnu. The deity is also called Tirunarayana, which endows the place with the name Tirunarayanapuram.

ಶ್ರೀ ಚೆಲುವನಾರಾಯಣಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಮಂಡ್ಯಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮೇಲುಕೋಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ಮೈಸೂರಿನಿಂದ 50 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ಹಾಗೂ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ 150 ಕಿ. ಮೀ. ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಶ್ರೀ ಚೆಲುವನಾರಾಯಣನನ್ನು ತಿರುನಾರಾಯಣ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಮೇಲುಕೋಟೆಗೆ ತಿರುನಾರಯಣಪುರಂ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರು ಬಂದಿದೆ.
