Sri Raghavendra Tirtharu (1595-1671) is one of the greatest saints of the Dvaitha Sidhantha, He is considered as the incarnation of Prahladha. He attained jeeva Samadhi in Mantralaya (Andhra Pradesh) in the banks of Thunga Bhadhra. This stotra, in praise of Sri Raghavendra Swamy was composed by Sri Appanacharya, one of the chief disciples of Sri Raghavendra Swamy.

ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ತೀರ್ಥರು ದ್ವೈತ ಸಿದ್ದಾಂತದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಸಂತರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರು. ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರು ಪ್ರಹ್ಲಾದ ರಾಜರ ಅವತಾರವೆಂಬ ಪ್ರತೀತಿಯಿದೆ. ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳು ಆಂಧ್ರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಮಂತ್ರಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ತುಂಗಭದ್ರಾ ನದಿಯ ತಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವ ಸಮಾಧಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವರು. ಈ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವು, ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳ ಹಿರಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ವರ್ಣಿಸುವ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಯರ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಶಿಷ್ಯರುಗಳಲ್ಲೊಬ್ಬರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಪ್ಪನಾಚಾರ್ಯರಿಂದ ರಚಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.
