ವಾಯುದೇವರ ಮೂರನೇ ಅವತಾರರಾದ, ತತ್ವವಾದ ಅಥವಾ ದ್ವೈತ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತದ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಟಾಪನಾಚಾರ್ಯರಾದ ಜಗದ್ಗುರು ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರು (1238-1317) ದ್ವಾಪರಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಆದೇಶದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ವಿಶ್ವಕರ್ಮನಿಂದ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಕಡಗೋಲು ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ರಜತಪೀಠಪುರಿಯೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಉಡುಪಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಟಾಪಿಸಿದರು. ಇದೇ ಇಂದು ಲೋಕಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧವಾದ ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣ ಮಠವಾಗಿದೆ. Jagadguru Sri Madhwacharya (1238-1317), the proponent of Tattwavada or Dwaita Siddhanta, who is the third incarnation of Lord Vayu, consecrated the idol of Kadagolu Krishna, which had been created by Vishwakarma under instructions of Lord Krishna during Dwapara Yuga, at Udupi, which was earlier being called Rajatapeethapura. The place where Sri Madhwacharya consecrated the idol of Lord Krishna is now the renowned pilgrim centre called Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt.

ಆನೆಗುಡ್ಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ೧೨ ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರವಿರುವ ಬೃಹತ್ ಸ್ವಯಂಭೂ ಗಣಪತಿಯ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವಿದೆ. ಈ ಗಣಪತಿಯು ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷವೂ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆಯೆಂಬ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿದೆ. ಕುಂಭಾಶಿಯು ಹರಿ ಹರ ದೇವಾಲಯದಿಂದಾಗಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದಿ ಪಡೆದಿದೆ. Kumbhashi, popularly known as Anegudde, is famous for a Ganapati temple. The 12-ft. high Ganapati idol here is believed to be growing every year. Kumbhashi is also famous for Hari Hara temple.

ಶ್ರೀ ಕೊಲ್ಲೂರು ಮೂಕಾಂಬಿಕಾ ದೇವಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು ಹಸಿರುಸಿರಿಯುಳ್ಳ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮಘಟ್ಟದ ಕೊಡಚಾದ್ರಿ ಪರ್ವತಶ್ರೇಣಿಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಸೌಪರ್ಣಿಕಾ ನದೀತೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿದೆ. ಈ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಸುಮಾರು 1200 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸವಿದೆಯೆಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಮ್ಮನವರ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ದೇಶ-ವಿದೇಶದ ವಿವಿಧ ಭಾಗಗಳಿಂದ ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳು ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ. Sri Kolluru Mookambika Devi Temple is located amidst the lush green hills of Kodachadri in Western Ghats, next to river Souparnika in Kollur town, Kundapur taluk of Udupi district in Karnataka. Mookambika Temple in Kollur is believed to be over 1,200 years old. Devotees from both home and abroad visit Mookambika Devi Temple in Kolluru.

ಮರವಂತೆಯು ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಕರಾವಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಪುಟ್ಟ ಹಳ್ಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಡಲತೀರ. ಇದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಅತಿ ಸುಂದರ ಸಮುದ್ರ ತೀರಗಳಲ್ಲೊಂದೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ರಾಷ್ಟೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ 66 ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲೇ ಸಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಹಾಗು ಈ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಬದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಪರ್ಣಿಕಾ ನದಿಯು ಹರಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಮನೋಹರ ದೃಶ್ಯವು ಇಡೀ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲೇ ಮತ್ತೊಂದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸುಪರ್ಣಿಕಾ ನದಿಯು, ಇಲ್ಲಿ, ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದರು ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ಕೂಡದೆ, ಹಿಂತಿರುವು ಪಡೆದು, ಸುಮಾರು 10 ಕಿ ಮೀ ಸಾಗಿ ನಂತರ ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ಸೇರುತ್ತದೆ. Maravanthe is a village and a beach near Kundapura, Karnataka, India. It is considered one of Karnataka's most beautiful beaches. NH-66 runs next to the beach and the Suparnika River flows on the other side of the road, creating a spectacular scenery that is considered the only one of its kind in India. The Suparnika, which almost touches Arabian Sea here, makes a U-turn and goes westward to join the sea after a journey of more than 10 km.

ಒಂದು ದಂತಕಥೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ವಾಸ್ಕೋ ಡಿ ಗಾಮಾ ಸಮುದ್ರಯಾನ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಮೇರಿ ದ್ವೀಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿದು ಈ ದ್ವೀಪಸಮೂಹಗಳಿಗೆ ಓ ಪದ್ರಾವೋ ಡಿ ಸಂತ ಮರಿಯಾ, ಎಂದು ನಾಮವಿತ್ತನು. ಈ ದ್ವೀಪಸಮೂಹದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ನಡುಗಡ್ಡೆಗಳಿವೆ. ಮಲ್ಪೆಯ ಸಮುದ್ರತಡಿಯಿಂದ ಅರಬ್ಬೀ ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ವೀಪಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಗಿಹೋಗಲು ದೋಣಿಗಳ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಿದೆ. It is believed that Vasco da Gama had come to St. Mary's Islands during his global voyage, fixed a Holy Cross on the island and named one of the four islands as O Padrão de Santa Maria, in the memory of Mother Mary. It is from this name that the four islands got their current name. St.Mary’s Islands consist of four islands namely; Coconut Island, North Island, Daryabahadurgarh Island and South Island in the Arabian Sea, off the coast of Malpe in Udupi. They are known for distinctive columnar basaltic geological formation.
