The renowned Amanakara Sri Bharatha Temple, the 3rd temple in Nalambalam Pilgrimage posits in Kottayam District at a distance of 20 KMs from Palai on Rampuram-Koothattukulam Road. Lord Sri Bharatha Swami, the presiding deity faces towards west. In front of the main Sreekovil, Lord Siva’s glorious shrine positions with every care and prominence. The sub-deities Lord Ganesha, Yakshi, Naga Devathas are all installed herein. In the earlier times, famous Five Manas were possessing a big area of land along with this temple. Hence the place was called ‘Imanakara’, which was eventually turned into ‘Amanakara’, a local form and style. Later, when two manas became extinct, the rule and administration were coming to get entrusted with the other three, Punam, Puthiyedam and Ramaramangalam. The Tantric rights are vested with Thripunithura Puliyannoor Illam. On Anizham Nakshatra day, in the month of Medam, the flag-hoisting ceremony of the temple festival is taken place and the 6 day felicitation comes to an end by the Arattu on Thiruvonam day. This fest and the fabulous Nalambalam Pilgrimage are the 2 jovial programs takes place in this temple every year. The Holy place is open for the devotees from 5 AM to 10.30 AM in the mornings and 5 PM to 8 PM in the evening. But in the Nalambalam Pilgrimage period, the temple will be open from 5 in the morning to 12.30 noon and 5 PM to 8 PM in the evenings.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയില് പാലയില് നിന്ന് ഏകദേശം 20 കിലോമീറ്റര് അകലെ രാമപുരം കൂത്താട്ടുകുളം വഴിയിലാണ് കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ പ്രമുഖ നാലമ്പല ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിലൊന്നായ അമനകര ഭരത സ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. പടിഞ്ഞാറ് ദര്ശനമായിരിക്കുന്ന ശ്രീ ഭരത സ്വാമിയാണ് പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ. പ്രധാന ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന് മുന്നില് അതീവ പ്രാധാന്യത്തോടെ ശിവ ഭഗവാന്റെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠയുള്ള ക്ഷേത്രവും സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഇതോടൊപ്പം ശ്രീ ഗണപതി, യക്ഷി, നാഗരാജാവ് എന്നീ ഉപദേവതാ പ്രതിഷ്ഠകളും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലുണ്ട്. ആദ്യകാലത്ത് 5 മനകളുടെ വക ആയിരുന്ന ഈ പ്രദേശവും ക്ഷേത്രവും, ഐമനകര എന്ന പേരിലാണ് അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത്. കാലാന്തരത്തില് ഈ പേര് ലോപിച്ച് അമനകര ആയി എന്നാണു വിശ്വാസം. ഇതില് 2 മനകള് അന്യം നിന്നു പോവുകയും പിന്നീട് ക്ഷേത്രഭരണം അവശേഷിച്ച മൂന്ന് ഇല്ലങ്ങളായ പുനം, പുതിയേടം, താമരമംഗലം എന്നിവരില് നിക്ഷിപ്തമാകുകയും ചെയ്തു. നിത്യവും മൂന്ന് പൂജകളുള്ള ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ താന്ത്രികാവകാശം തൃപ്പൂണിത്തുറ പുലിയന്നൂര് ഇല്ലക്കാര്ക്കാണ്. മേടമാസത്തിലെ അനിഴത്തിന് കൊടിയേറി തിരുവോണത്തിന് ആറാട്ടോട് കൂടി സമാപിക്കുന്ന 6 ദിവസത്തെ ഉത്സവവും കര്ക്കിടക മാസത്തിലെ നാലമ്പല ദര്ശനവുമാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ആഘോഷങ്ങള്. ദര്ശന സമയം രാവിലെ 5.30 മുതല് 12.30 വരെയും വൈകുന്നേരം 5 മണിമുതല് 8 മണിവരെയും. ദര്ശനം നടത്താം .
