Sri Sukta Homam restores and retains health, wealth, prosperity and abundance, peace and harmony in life and remove obstacles. Sri Sukta is a sacred chant found in the Rig Veda, seeking the blessings of goddess Sri Devi or Mahalakshmi. Shaunaka’s ‘Brihaddevata’ is believed to contain a whole chapter titled ‘Lakshmi Tantra’ and explains the application of Sri Suktam to attain different desires.

It is believed, one who performs Maha Lakshmi mantra Japa for 120,000 times continuously for 12 days and performs Homam on the last day, attains all siddhis. By performing homa with Bilva leaf and Bilva fruit, uninterrupted wealth can be achieved. It is suggested to perform homa with Tulasi, and Ghee of Kapila Dhenu (Brown cows) gives best results.
