About Temple

The Anikkulagara Devasangetham, which hails a tradition of centuries and was worshipped by the spiritual Gurus and Sages. During the invasion period, the temple was destroyed but the Deva Chaitanya remained there. Later in the last century, with the public support and by the seamless devotion of the natives the temple was rebuilt and Devi, the Deity was consecrated. The day of consecration, Makam day of Kumbha month (Kollavarsham), is the auspicious day, which is believed to be very special for darshana, especially for ladies which will facilitate their marriage and later for a desirable future life.

ഋഷി പരമ്പരകളാല്‍ പ്രതിഷ്ടിച്ച് ഉപാസിച്ചുവന്നിരുന്നതും, നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളുടെ ചരിത്രം ഉറങ്ങുന്നതുമായ അണിക്കുളങ്ങര ദേവ സങ്കേതം, കാലത്തിന്‍റെ കുത്തൊഴുക്കില്‍ ചില അസുരശക്തികളാല്‍ നശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടെങ്കിലും, ദേവി ചൈതന്യം നശിക്കാതെ കിടന്നു. ആ ചൈതന്യ സങ്കേതം, നല്ലവരായ ഭക്ത ജനങ്ങളുടെ നിരന്തരമായ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനത്തിലൂടെ ക്ഷേത്ര നിര്‍മ്മാണം നടത്തു വാനിടയായി. ഇന്ന് പ്രകൃതിദത്തമായ ശാലീനതയോടെ ശക്തിസ്വരൂപിണി യായി, മക്കള്‍ക്ക്‌ അനുഗ്രഹം നല്‍കുന്ന അമ്മയായ്, ഐശ്വര്യദായിനിയായി വിളങ്ങുന്നു. ഇവിടുത്തെ പ്രതിഷ്ടാദിനം ദേവി ഉപാസനയ്ക്ക് പ്രസിദ്ധമായി ട്ടുള്ള കുംഭമാസത്തിലെ മകം നക്ഷത്രം ആകയാല്‍, മകം തൊഴല്‍ വളരെ പ്രസിദ്ധമാണ്. ഭക്തജനങ്ങള്‍, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് സ്ത്രീകള്‍, മംഗല്യത്തിനും, നെടുമംഗല്യത്തിനും, സന്താന സൗഭാഗ്യത്തിനും വേണ്ടി നാടിന്‍റെ നാനാ ഭാഗത്തുനിന്നും ഈ ദിവസം എത്തിച്ചേരുന്നു.
