About Temple

The Kalarikkal Bhagavathy Temple is situated in the serene and scenic village of Vayalkkara in the Parur taluk in Ernakulam district. The temple has the unique speciality of Bhadrakali as the main diety along with Lord Siva and Swamy Ayyappa in the same sanctorium. The sub dieties residing here are Brahmarakshas, Nagadevathas,Durga and Vellabagavathy.The grand festival is celebrated in the Bharani nakshathra of the malayalam month Kumbham.The concecration day is on the Aswathy nakshathra of the Edavam month.The Vijayadashami is a main event in the temple wherein children who are commencing their academic career write with bare finger in a tumbler full of rice to have the blessings of goddess Saraswathy. Mandala Chirappu and Ayilya Pooja are other important occasions in the temple wherein special offerings are conducted for Lord Ayyappa and the Nagadevathas respectively. എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയിലെ പറവൂർ താലൂക്കിലെ പ്രശാന്ത സുന്ദരമായ വയൽക്കര എന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തിലാണ്കളരിക്കൽ ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഭദ്രകാളി അഥവാ കളരിക്കലമ്മ പരമശിവനും ശാസ്താവിനുമൊപ്പം ഒരേ ശ്രീകോവിലിൽ വാണരുളുന്നു എന്ന സവിശേഷതയുള്ള ക്ഷേത്രമാണിത്. ബ്രഹ്മരക്ഷസ്, നാഗദേവത, ദുർഗ്ഗ വെള്ളഭഗവതി എന്നിവയാണ്ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ഉപദേവതകൾ. കളരിക്കലമ്മയുടെ പ്രധാന ഉത്സവം കുംഭ മാസത്തിലെ ഭരണി നക്ഷത്രത്തിലാണ്. പ്രതിഷ്ഠാ ദിനം ഇടവമാസത്തിലെ അശ്വതി നക്ഷത്രത്തിലും കൊണ്ടാടുന്നു. വിജയദശമി കളരിക്കൽ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു പ്രധാന വിശേഷദിവസമാണ്. അന്നേ ദിവസം ആദ്യമായി എഴുത്തിനിരുത്തുന്ന കുരുന്നുകൾ താലത്തിൽ നിറച്ച അരിയിൽ ഗുരുനാഥന്റെ നിർദേശ പ്രകാരം ആദ്യാക്ഷരം കുറിക്കുകയും ദേവിയുടെ അനുഗ്രഹം ലഭിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. മണ്ഡലചിറപ്പും ആയില്യ പൂജയുമാണ്ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ മറ്റു പ്രധാന വിശേഷദിവസങ്ങൾ. അന്നേദിവസം യഥാക്രമം അയ്യപ്പസ്വാമിക്കും നാഗദൈവങ്ങൾക്കും പ്രത്യേക പൂജകൾ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. എല്ലാ ഭരണിനാളിലും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ അന്നദാനം നടത്തുന്നു. പച്ച പുതച്ച നെൽപ്പാടങ്ങളുടെ നടുവിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന കളരിക്കൽ ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം ഇവിടെയെത്തുന്ന എല്ലാ ഭക്തർക്കും നയനാന്ദകരവും മനസ്സിന്ആശ്വാസം നൽകുന്ന ഒരു അനുഭവവും ഏകുന്നു .
