About Temple

A glowing warrior, Lord Subramanya, in his vigil martial Bhava, wearing all ornaments bearing ‘Vel’ , ornament Crown , everything ready for a fight against a regiment itself is enshrined here in this temple along with Glorious Durga Devi and Lord Ganapathy removing obstacles. The God Kaliyugavaradha Sri Dharma Shastha and Hidumban Swami an associate of Sri Subramanya are all ritually consecrated here. And Hidumba is said to ‘Swayamboo’ . Generally, Hidumban Swami as a guard to protect everything is enshrined outside the Chuttambalam, but here he being splendidly self-born is installed inside the Chuttambalam. A rock consisting the dwelling splendor of ‘Hidumba’ is growing up every day is an especially noticed the amusement here in this temple. Moreover,Rakshas, Nagas are the other consecrations outside the Chuttambalamand are devotionally saluted by the people. The ancestors who were the real ‘ cause ’ behind the enshrinement processes are addressed in a ‘Pithru’ sense and the sage who was to perform the original consecration ceremony is adored to be ‘ Guru the master’ , all are worshipped well here.

സര്‍വ്വാഭരണ വിഭൂഷിതനായി, പടച്ചട്ടയണിഞ്ഞ് കൈകളില്‍ വേലും ശിരസ്സില്‍ കിരീടവു മായി യുദ്ധസന്നാഹനായി വീരസേനാപതി ഭാവത്തിലിരിക്കുന്ന ശ്രീ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യസ്വാമി യാണ് ഇവിടുത്തെ പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ. മംഗല്യവരദായിനിയായ ദുര്‍ഗാദേവിയും വിഘ്നവിശാകനായ ഗണപതിയും കലിയുഗവരദനായ ശ്രീ ധര്‍മശാസ്താവുമാണ് ഇവി ടുത്തെ ഉപദേവതാ പ്രതിഷ്ഠകള്‍. കൂടാതെ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യസ്വാമിയുടെ അനുചരനായ ഹിഡുംബന്‍ സ്വാമിയുടെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠയും ഇവിടെയുണ്ട്. സ്വയംഭൂവായി ഉണ്ടായതാണ് ഹിഡുംബന്‍ സ്വാമിയുടെ ചൈതന്യം. എവിടെയും കാവല്‍ക്കാരനായി വാണരുളുന്ന ഹിഡുംബന്‍ സ്വാമിയെ ചുറ്റമ്പലത്തിന് പുറത്താണ് പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കാറ്. എന്നാല്‍ സ്വയം ഭൂവായ ചൈതന്യമായതിനാല്‍ ഇവിടെ മാത്രം ഹിഡുംബന്‍ സ്വാമിയുടെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠ ചുറ്റമ്പലത്തിനകത്താണ്. ഹിഡുംബന്‍ സ്വാമിയുടെ ചൈതന്യo കുടികൊള്ളുന്ന പാറ അനുദിനം വളര്‍ന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന പ്രത്യേകതയും കൂടി ഇവിടുണ്ട്. കൂടാതെ രക്ഷസ്, സര്‍പ്പം, എന്നീ പ്രതിഷ്ഠകള്‍ ചുറ്റമ്പലത്തിന് പുറത്ത് ആരാധിച്ചുവരുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്‍റെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠകര്‍മ്മത്തിന് കാരണക്കാരനായ കുടുംബക്കാരെ ‘പിതൃ’ എന്ന സങ്കല്പത്തിലും, പ്രതിഷ്ഠനടത്തിയ സന്യാസിവര്യനെ ഗുരുനാഥന്‍ എന്ന സങ്കല്പത്തിലും ആരാധിച്ചുവരുന്നു.

മേടമാസത്തിലെ മകയിരം നാളാണ്‌ ഇവിടുത്തെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠദിനം. മകരമാസത്തിലെ പൂയം നാളാണ്‌ ഇവിടുത്തെ ഉത്സവദിനം. മകരമാസത്തിലെ കാര്‍ത്തികനാളില്‍ കൊടിയേറി, പൂയം നാളിലെ ആറാട്ടോടുകൂടിയാണ് ഉത്സവം അവസാനിക്കുന്നത്‌. കലകളില്‍ പ്രിയ നാണ് ഇവിടുത്തെ ഉപാസനമൂര്‍ത്തിയായ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യസ്വാമി. കലാമേഖലകളില്‍ പ്രാവിണ്യം നേടിയവര്‍ക്ക് സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യസ്വാമിയുടെ അനുഗ്രഹത്തില്‍ ആ മേഖലയില്‍ ഉയര്‍ച്ച ലഭിക്കാറുണ്ട്.
