About Temple

In Thrissur district, Chalakudi Taluk in famous for many temples. Pazhookkara, a place in Annallore village is rare and fortunate to contain Pazhuthevar Siva – Vishnu Kshethram, a temple where in two unequalled deities, Lord Siva and Vishnu are positioning. The land of the Lord ‘Pazhuthevar’ was later conducing itself to be ‘Pazhookkara’. Ganapathy, Sastha and Vana Durga are the sub-deities here in . The ancient fore father’s golden sayings assure this devotional centre to be far older, it is above 4000 years. Now everything goes well with Kshethra Samrakshana Samithi, both the temple side and administration.

തൃശൂര്‍ ജില്ലയില്‍ ചാലക്കുടി താലൂക്കില്‍ ആണ്ണല്ലൂര്‍ വില്ലേജില്‍ പഴൂക്കര എന്ന സ്ഥലത്താണ് പഴൂക്കര പഴുതേവര്‍ ശിവ-വിഷ്ണു ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്.പഴൂതേവരുടെ കര എന്ന അര്‍ത്ഥത്തിലാണ് പഴൂക്കര എന്ന സ്ഥല നാമം ഉണ്ടായത് എന്നു പറയപ്പെടുന്നു.ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ മഹാദേവനും (ശിവന്‍),മഹാവിഷ്ണുവുമാണ്.ഇതു കൂടാതെ ഗണപതി,ശാസ്താവ്,വനദുര്‍ഗ എന്നീ പ്രതിഷ്ഠകളും ഉപ ദേവതകളായി ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തില്‍ കാണാം.നാലായിരം വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ക്കു മേല്‍ പഴക്കമുള്ളതാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം എന്ന് പഴമക്കാരാല്‍ പറയപ്പെടുന്നു.ക്ഷേത്ര സംരക്ഷണ സമിതിയുടെ മേല്‍നോട്ടത്തില്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ പൂജാദി കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.
