About Temple

Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple is one of the many temples that are located in the Basavanagudi Park at about 4.5 km from Kempegowda Bus Stand and Sangolli Rayanna Railway Station in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The nearest Namma Metro Stop are the South End Circle about 2km from the temple and the National College Stop about 2km from the temple. The Basavanagudi Park is also dotted with some historical monuments like the Bugle rock tower and the ancient Big Bull and Dodda Ganesha temples, besides Sri Subrahmnya Mutt, a branch of Sri Subrahmanya Mutt of Kukke. The Temple is surrounded by green plants, herbs, shrubs and large trees too. Under the Ashwatthakatte situated in forefront of the temple, stone images of multi-hooded divine cobras have been installed.

ಶ್ರೀ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಮುಜರಾಯಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಆಡಳಿತಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.
