ಶ್ರೀ ಕೊಲ್ಲೂರು ಮೂಕಾಂಬಿಕಾ ದೇವಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು ಹಸಿರುಸಿರಿಯುಳ್ಳ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮಘಟ್ಟದ ಕೊಡಚಾದ್ರಿ ಪರ್ವತಶ್ರೇಣಿಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಸೌಪರ್ಣಿಕಾ ನದೀತೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿದೆ. ಈ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಕೊಲ್ಲೂರು ಟೌನ್, ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕಾ, ಉಡುಪಿಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು 135 ಕಿ. ಮೀ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ 440 ಕಿ.ಮೀ.ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಈ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಸುಮಾರು 1,200 ವರ್ಷಗಳಷ್ಟು ಪುರಾತನವಾದದ್ದೆಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಕೊಲ್ಲೂರಿಗೆ ಅತಿ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣವೆಂದರೆ, ಉಡುಪಿ. ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಮೈಸೂರು, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಂದಲೂ ಕೊಲ್ಲೂರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬಹುದು. ಉಡುಪಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದಿಂದ ಕೊಲ್ಲುರಿಗೆ ಬಸ್ಸುಗಳು ಇವೆ. ಅಮ್ಮನವರ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ದೇಶ-ವಿದೇಶದ ವಿವಿಧ ಭಾಗಗಳಿಂದ ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳು ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Sri Kolluru Mookambika Devi Temple is located amidst the lush green hills of Kodachadri in Western Ghats, next to Souparnika River at Kollur in Kundapur taluk of Udupi district in Karnataka. Mookambika Temple in Kollur is believed to be over 1,200 years old. It is about 130 km from Mangaluru and 440 km from Bengaluru, the state capital city. Pilgrims and tourists can reach Kollur from Udupi, Mangalore, Msore and Bangalore through road. Bus facility is there between Kolluru, Udupi and Shivamogga.
