About Temple

Sri Venkateshwara Mandiram is one of the very old temples of Kerala. It is believed to have been established around 300 years ago and the presiding deity of the temple is Lord Venkateshwara, flanked by Goddess Sreedevi and Goddess Bhoodevi on either side. The idols of Lord Ganapati (Vighneshwara), Sri Hanuman and Sri Nagaraja have also been consecrated on the premises of this temple.

കേരളത്തിലെ ഏറെ പഴക്കമുള്ള ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട ഒന്നാണു് മദ്ധ്യകേരളത്തിലെ തൃപ്പൂണിത്തുറയിലുള്ള ശ്രീ വെങ്കടേശ്വര മന്ദിരം അഥവാ ശ്രീ വെങ്കടേശ്വര ക്ഷേത്രം. 300 വർഷങ്ങൾക്കു മുൻപു് സ്ഥാപിതമായ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം മുഖ്യ ശ്രീകോവിലിൽ, ഭൂലോക വൈകുണ്ഠ നാഥനായ ശ്രീ വെങ്കിടാചലപതി ഭഗവാന്റെ ശ്രീദേവി – ഭൂദേവി സമേത പ്രതിഷ്ഠ കൊണ്ടു് വ്യത്യസ്തവും ധന്യവുമാണു്. ഇത് വളരെ വിരളമായതും തന്മൂലം ശക്തിദായകമായ ഭക്തിയെ പ്രദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നതുമായി ഭവിക്കുന്നു.

ചൈതന്യമേറുന്ന ഈ വെങ്കിടാചലപതി ഭഗവാനൊപ്പം ക്ഷേത്ര മതില്ക്കകത്തു തന്നെ ശ്രീ ഹനുമാൻ, ശ്രീ ഗണപതി, ശ്രീ നാഗരാജൻ എന്നീ ഉപദേവ പ്രതിഷ്ഠകളുമുണ്ടു്.
