About Temple

Baramadi Sri Subramanya Temple is located at Palimar village in Udupi district. The Three-Centuries old temple is the abode of lord Sri Subramanya , the main deity of the shrine. The main deity is also known as Santhana Subramanya Swamy. Lord Subramanya Swamy, holding butter in the right hand depicts the distinct feature of the temple. Payasa {Form of Sweet} made out of Toordal is the Special Seva offered to the God. Annual festival and Subramanya Shrashti are celebrated with Pomp and Glory. At present the Administration of the Temple is being looked after by Sri Palimar Matha, one among the Eight Mutt’s (Astha Matha) of Udupi.

ಬರಮಾಡಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಪಲಿಮಾರು ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಸಂತಾನ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಎಂದು ಸಹ ಕರೆಯುವ ವಾಡಿಕೆ ಇದೆ. ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ಸರಿ ಸುಮಾರು 3 ಶತಮಾನಗಳಷ್ಟು ಪುರಾತನವೆಂಬ ಐತಿಹ್ಯವಿದೆ. ದೇವರು ಬಲಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಣ್ಣೆ(ಫಲ) ಹಿಡಿದಿರುವುದು ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ವಿಶೇಷತೆ. ದೇವರಿಗೆ ತೊಗರಿಬೇಳೆ ಪಾಯಸ ನೈವೇದ್ಯ ಸೇವೆ ವಿಶೇಷ. ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಷಷ್ಠಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿ ವೈಭವದಿಂದ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಅಷ್ಠ ಮಠಗಳಲ್ಲೊಂದಾದ ಪಲಿಮಾರು ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನವು ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಆಡಳಿತವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆ.
