About Temple

Kerematta Sri Vishnumurthy Temple is located at Palimar village about 31 Km from Udupi district. The temple is built in the circular structure. The idol of the main deity Lord Sri Vishnumurthy is beautifully sculpted. The idol is holding Shanka, Chakra, Gada and Padma in his hand. In the idol, from the feet to the crown of the idol, it has artistic halo. Tulasi Archane, the Milk Payasa and Panchakajjaya are some of the main sevas offered to Lord Sri Vishnumurthy.

ಕೆರೆಮಠ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಷ್ಣುಮೂರ್ತಿ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಪಲಿಮಾರು ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವರ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಾದ ಹೃಷೀಕೇಶ ತೀರ್ಥರ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ಮೂಲ ನೆಲೆ ಪಲಿಮಾರು .ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ವರ್ತುಲಾಕೃತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಈ ದೇಗುಲದ ವಿಷ್ಣುಮೂರ್ತಿಯು ಪೂರ್ವಚೋಳ ಕಲಾ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿರುವುದೆಂಬ ನಂಬಿಕೆ. ಈ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯು ಶಂಖ, ಚಕ್ರ, ಗದಾ, ಪದ್ಮಧಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು , ಪಾದದಿಂದ ಕಿರೀಟ ಪರ್ಯಂತ ಕಲಾತ್ಮಕವಾದ ಪ್ರಭಾವಳಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ತುಳಸೀ ಅರ್ಚನೆ, ಹಾಲು ಪಾಯಸ , ಪಂಚಕಜ್ಜಾಯ ನೈವೇದ್ಯ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿದಿನವೂ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
