A rare precious stone, “Chandrakantham” appearing after reverent worships, proceeding with charming entices and invocations is used to wear by the people, those number is increasing immensely and abundantly day by day. This divine temple atmosphere has to proclaim one more event. Long years ago, on the banks of river ganges in UP area, the Rishis were performing “Mahayagyas” in a particular area of the Landscapes, known to be Naimisharanyam. Somehow, at one time, those all rituals everything were coming to a stop. This mahayagnam, later widely renowned to be Bhagawathasathram was coming to a re-constitution through ever famed Brahmasri Malliyoor Sankaran Namboodiri, here into Kerala. Ekadashi Mahothsavam is the major Annual Festival here. In every Malayalam year, in the month of Vrishchikam, this festival for 8 days is celebrated. The temple visiting times are, morning 5 to 11.45 AM and in the evening 5.00 to 7.50 PM.

ഭഗവാൻ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണൻറെ കഥാസരിത്തിൽ വളരെ പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട ഒന്നായ കുചേലകഥയിലെ, രുഗ്മിണീസമേതനായ കൃഷ്ണഭഗവാന്‍റെ ധ്യാനബിംബത്താൽ ധന്യമായ ഈശ്വര സന്നിധിയാണു ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം. തന്നെ കാണാനെത്തിയ ബാല്യകാല സതീർത്ഥ്യനായിരുന്ന കുചേലന്, ചോദിക്കാതെ തന്നെ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചതെല്ലാം നൽകിയനുഗ്രഹിച്ച ആ വരദായക ഭാവം, ഇവിടെത്തുന്ന ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾക്കു പെട്ടെന്നുള്ള ഇഷ്ടവരസിദ്ധി ലഭ്യമാക്കുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ടാകാം, ഇവിടെ നിരന്തരം ഓടിയെത്തുന്ന ഭക്താശ്രിതർ ഒന്നടങ്കം ഭഗവാനെ സാക്ഷാൽ ഗുരുവായൂരപ്പനായിക്കണ്ട്, ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തെ “ദക്ഷിണ ഗുരുവായൂർ” എന്ന് വിളിക്കുന്നത്.

ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൻറെ എടുത്തുപറയേണ്ട പ്രത്യേകത, ഏറെ കൊല്ലങ്ങൾക്കു മുൻപു ഉത്തർപ്രദേശിലെ ഗംഗാനദിയുടെ തീരത്തുള്ള “നൈമിശാരണ്യം”എന്ന പുണ്യ സ്ഥലത്തു ഋഷി വര്യന്മാരാൽ നടത്തപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നതും, പിൽക്കാലത്തു നിന്നു പോവുകയും ചെയ്ത “ഭാഗവത സത്രം” എന്ന മഹാ സത്രം, യശശ്ശരീരനായ ഭാഗവത ഹംസം ബ്രഹ്മശ്രീ. മള്ളിയൂർ ശങ്കരൻ നമ്പൂതിരിയുടെ അഭിലാഷപ്രകാരം പുനർജ്ജനിച്ചതു ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൻറെ പുണ്യഭൂവിലാണു് എന്നതാണു്.

പെൺകുട്ടികൾക്കു സൽമാംഗല്യം വേഗത്തിൽ സാധ്യമാകുന്നതിനും, ഇതരങ്ങളായ ഉദ്ദിഷ്ട കാര്യ സാഫല്യത്തിനും ഇവിടുത്തെ ദേവചൈതന്യം ന്യൂനതയേതുമില്ലാതെ ഫലം നൽകിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നതു് സജ്ജനങ്ങളുടെ ഊഷ്മളമായ അനുഭവങ്ങളിലുണ്ട്. ഭഗവൽമന്ത്രങ്ങളാൽ പൂജിച്ചെടുത്ത “ചന്ദ്രകാന്തം” എന്ന സവിശേഷ രത്‌നം ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നിന്നും വാങ്ങി ധരിക്കുന്നവരുടെ എണ്ണം അനുദിനം വർദ്ധിച്ചു വരുന്നതു് അതിനുള്ള തെളിവായിക്കാണുവാൻ കഴിയും. ശ്രീമഹാദേവൻ, ഒക്കത്തു ഗണപതി, ശ്രീഭദ്ര, യക്ഷിയമ്മ, നാഗദൈവങ്ങൾ എന്നീ ഉപദേവതകളും ക്ഷേത്രത്തില്‍ പ്രതിഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. ലോകപ്രസിദ്ധമായ ഗുരുവായൂർ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ എകാദശിയുടെ അന്ന് തന്നെ ആറാട്ടോടുകൂടി സമാപിക്കുന്ന വൃശ്ചിക മാസത്തിലെ എട്ടു ദിവസത്തെ ഏകാദശി മഹോത്സവമാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന വാര്‍ഷികോത്സവം. ക്ഷേത്രദര്‍ശന സമയം, രാവിലെ 5.00 മണി മുതൽ 11.45 വരെയും വൈകിട്ടു് 5.00 മണി മുതൽ 7.50 വരെയും.
