Paryaya Sri Pejawara Mutt is adjacent to the Adamar Mutt on the Car Street in Udupi. Sri Mutt is among the eight Mutts that proponent of Dwaita School of philosophy Jagadguru Sri Madhwacharya has established. The maiden seer of Paryaya Sri Pejavar Mutt was Sri Adhokshaja Tirtha, who was one of the disciples of Sri Madhwacharya. The headquarters of this Mutt is near Udupi, in a village called Pejawara. The lineage of Seers of Paryaya Sri Pejawara Mutt has been enriched by several scholars of unmatched eloquence, masters of Vedic knowledge and beacons of spirituality.

ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಪೇಜಾವರ ಮಠವು ಉಡುಪಿಯ ರಥಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅದಮಾರು ಮಠದ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಶ್ರೀ ಮಠವು ದ್ವೈತಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪನಾಚಾರ್ಯರಾದ ಜಗದ್ಗುರು ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ ಅಷ್ಟಮಠಗಳಲ್ಲೊಂದಾಗಿದೆ. ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಪೇಜಾವರ ಮಠದ ಮೂಲಗುರುಗಳು ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಧೋಕ್ಷಜ ತೀರ್ಥರು. ಈ ಮಠದ ಕೇಂದ್ರಸ್ಥಾನವು ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಸಮೀಪವಿರುವ ಪೇಜಾವರ ಎಂಬಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಪೇಜಾವರ ಮಠದ ಗುರುಪರಂಪರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಪಂಡಿತೋತ್ತಮರೂ, ವಿದ್ವನ್ಮಣಿಗಳೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಚತುರ್ವೇದ ಪಾರಂಗತರೂ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು ಶ್ರೀ ಮಠದ ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
